    The frames Ronnie was in and it was just 'that one ball' he missed. I think 4-4 should have been the outcome but you can't deny Robertson that last frame. Excellent stuff.

    Me too. He played quite badly today, from what I've read, but Maguire does seem to be playing well.

    Every part of my heart wants Hendry to do well, but my mind can't help saying he's past it. And I really hate it saying that. :(

    Hendry had it easy against Bingham and Higgins, when I say easy I mean they both played awful and Hendry just about played better than them. Yes he had the max but as i said before the consistency just isn't there anymore and the odd flash of brilliance isn't enough to win tournaments.
    I really fear that Maguire will win all 6 frames he needs tonight and hand out a 13-1 or 13-2 defeat.

    That last red and the pink before it were beauts. When things are going your way they really are going your way. Would still like Hendry to win at least 4 frames. I can't see it happening though. :(

    It's true, I just got a txt of a hack at the press conference and Hendry has announced his retirement. I honestly don't think this is a knee jerk reaction this has been on his mind since last April, he's a winner and it obviously hurts him that he just can't compete at the highest level anymore.

    Thought he might announce that tbh. The smirk on his face gave the impression he had given up completely. If he decided a few months ago, he probably hoped he could go out in style.

    Don't think any of the pros would agree with you that they play for fun.
