If you had the opportunity to sit down for a few hours and have a couple of pints with any fighter, past or present, who would it be and why?
It doesn't even actually have to be a fighter. It could be anyone involved in the sport, such as Dana White, if you want.

For me, I think I'd pick Bas Rutten.
He's been around the sport since the early days and he's done it all and seen it all and I'd say he has some brilliant stories. He's been involved in a lot of the major organisations in one way or another and he has incredible experience in the mma game. He also seems like a nice guy and he's not full of shít. He tells it as he sees it. Plus he's a funny bastard!

Can we be jealous and pick more than one? :p

JDS: Seems to be a genuinely nice, down to earth guy.

    Urijah Faber: Above.

To get drunk with, it has to be Roy Nelson :pac:

Chuck Liddell, after reading "Iceman" I just got the impression that a session with him would be bat-shít crazy.

I've been pretty lucky to have a few beers wit quite a few UFC fighters, when i go to an event i just book into the same hotel as the fighters.

For UFC 72 in Belfast we stayed at The Hilton, was class, after the fight in the bar there was so many people from the MMA world, had a chat wit Randy, and a few beers with Brandon Vera who was wasted!! Everyone was cool apart from Dampage who acted as though he was much better than anybody else, walkin round wit his LHW belt on. Forrest Griffin was a man with 2 personalities that weekend, before the fight he was soo moody, didn't talk to nobody but after he was ace, even bought us a beer :D:D

The best one was by far though was at The Hilton in Newcastle for UFC 80, had a drink wit Stitch and he was top, the guy should write a book (Oh yeah, he has), Rogan was a good laugh as always, next morning we went down for breakfast, sat down, 2 mins later Fabricio Werdum, his mrs and baby sat at our table, such a nice couple.

So if yer ever goin to an event, do your best to book a room in the same hotel as the fighters, well worth the extra few quid if your a big fan.

I'll post up pics of my signed programmes at some point

I'd pick Hendo. He really won me over on that series of TUF with Michael Bisping.

I'd love to go for a Coors light with Brock. Yeah, that's right, a Coors Light because Bud light won't pay me nuthin'. Then when I get home, hell, I may even get on top of my wife.

    See y'all later.

Was only thinking a few weeks back that I'd love to go out on the tear with Don 'The mans man' Frye. I've seen him in a few interviews and he's hilarious plus I'd say he would have a few stories to tell. Mostly involving the growing and grooming of a spectacular moustache. I love this story about Wanderlai Silva.

    in this order
    1) Bas Rutten, man is a personal hero on mine, because of what he has done in and outside the ring. Love the old Pride videos where him and a sidekick would do a couple of skits, one had him and I think Quadros drinking shots with the Pride ring girls, they did look genuinely steaming drunk by the end of it. Talented guy with a great personality, replied to me on twitter a few times (hope it is him replying)
    2) Wanderlei Silva, probably my favourite all time fighter, seems like a great guy who loves his fans, language might pose a barrier but a few pints should help, if need be ill use my phone to translate
    3) Herb Dean, I'd just let him tell me fight stories

Aside from that Jon Jones and Mike Bisping
    aye fúckin right:rolleyes:

For me it would be Ronda Rousey.

    Ronda_4.jpg

Why because God dammit she's hot and I'm a red blooded male.. And I think she'd fall for my Irish charms - or she could kill me by triangle choke all day.

And we both have a judo background.

I met Cain Velasquez, Chad Mendes and Mike Pyle at a bar here in Sydney before the UFC on FX event. Wasn't a session or anything, but had a bit of a chat with them. Cain spoke a bit about the Mir fight (don't think it was officially announced at that stage).

Tank abbot would have to be a bit of craic!

Butterbean would too I'd say, but if I had 1 choice it would probably be chuck Liddell.

Rush Boxing club and Rush Martial Arts head coach.

I have had a drink with Dana and the guy is just A1 drunk & sober. Jens Pulver is very funny when pissed. But I would love to have a drink and a chat with Baz.

Baroni and I, tearing it up, from town to town, for a month

Met Chael in Vegas and he was bang on, if I could sit down for a chat with anyone id probably go for John Danaher just to pick his brain about BJJ.. He seems like a really interesting guy in any of his rare interviews..

For purely seducing purposes it would be GSP, (although hes so boring), Thiago Alves, Amir Sadollah,

But for a laugh it would have to be, Bas Rutten,

Only getting around to reading "Got fight?" right now. Based on what I've read so far, I'd like to have a few with Forrest.

When we went to UFC 50 in Atlantic City, the weigh ins were in the casino, and only about 25 people there. Tank Abbott sitting there in one of the booths in the shadows, I so wanted to go and talk to him but figured he was in the dark for a reason, wanted to be left alone.

Anyways, next night at the show, he comes in and is surrounded by people jostling him while he has a pint in his hand. We're about 4 steps down from him and my young lad who was 13 at the time is looking in awe. Tank reaches over the small mob and says " This kid looks like he wants a photo " and pretty much lifts up through the crowd. I get my pic and Tank heads off to his seat.

Pretty cool for a bad ass.:D
