(I had a quick search and found nothing of the like that has been active in well over a year so mods feel free to act if you need to)

Hi guys, was talking with Cereal and the subject of MMA predictions came up and I stumbled across Fantasy MMA on Sherdog.com

How to register:
Head over to Sherdog.com and with a simple email activation that takes 2 minutes at most you'll have an account to play with.

How to join the pool:
The Boards.ie pool is private which means you need the name/password:

Name: Boards IE
Password: boardsieMMA


The rules:
A full set of rules are available to view here but for ease of access they're listed below:

1. Time: You'll have from approximately one week up to one hour before the event to make predictions.
2. Scoring: You can predict fighter alone (50 points), fighter (50) method of victory (30 points) and round of victory (30 points) or fighter (50) and decision (60 points). Incorrect winner but correct victory/round will result in 0 points.
3. Boosts: You'll have a number of boosts per event (No. of fights / 2, rounded down) which increase the number of points awarded for a win, but are optional to use:
   3.1: Correct winner - 100 points boost.
   3.2: Incorrect winner - 50 points deduction.
   (Only a winner affects the boosts applied)

I don't mind.. If we are then everyone should predict them or nobody should, if ya get me? (it's showing the Tate Strikeforce by default for some reason, even though it was last month)

Think it makes more sense to restrict it to UFC events. Some of the guys fighting on Strikeforce undercard are just to obscure. It becomes a totally lottery when you have to choose between two guys like that.

You don't have to use them though, plus if you get it wrong you're -50 points so best to only use them on matches you're quite confident on

Not that it'll matter cause I'll lose horribly either way!



Quick (possibly stupid) question about the rules:

It says

Incorrect winner but correct victory/round will result in 0 points

But if you choose the correct winner but your method of victory is wrong, do you still get the 50 points for the winner or is it classed as 0 points??
