Good attempt, but people might actually, like me for a brief moment, think this is boards being money-hungry and could turn some people off. If they're stupid enough not to look for the related thread and see that it was a joke, then granted they shouldn't be here anyway, but all the same :P

Also, though clicking an image doesn't bring you to the rollover text (but rather to the actual image itself), when you manually type in www.boards.ie/gold.php you get this rather amusing anecdote:

I still can view the pics on my SGS2 using Android operating system, ICS to be precise however I can't say the same about Windows 7 on my laptop or I OS on my girlfriend's Ipad.

One of the poorer April Fool's jokes I have seen.

I couldn't post on threads for around 30 minutes after midnight, presumably because of this prank.

Must do better next year, or don't bother.

I thought it was a good one, a way of showing what the site would be like if they had to try and restrict images to ones that posters could show they owned.

It didn't make the whole site unusable, I mean really come on it's a discussion site were we use text to communicate.
