Are you sure they're the only sole reasons you like fish :) Ah there's a time and a plaice for fish though. I won't skate around the obvious. Was fishing once and caught a lovely one. Was told it was a haddock but the other fishers were just angling for a joke. I reely wish I was codding ye :)

My internet went down for a few hours the other night and suddenly my room and the kitchen were spotless, and I read about 5 chapters of my book I haven't touched in months.

    There is always a distraction!

That's so cuuuuuute! Blankies are one of my favourite things ever. Always assume I am wrapped in one.

I am all kinds of giddy now and reading another case study about the fertilizer industry, which I genuinely could not care less about.

Me too :o This is a big thick double.

How are you finding your summer classes so far?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,698 ✭✭✭✭Princess Peach

I like one and don't like the other, mostly cause the prof is crap!

Its a weird kinda set up too. Instead of one 12 week long semester I have two 6 week long sessions, and the 6 weeks go at double the pace of a regular semester so its pretty hectic trying to cram it all in! But sure it's not like I have a job or family here or anything, I just need to cop on and get the work done in my mountains of free time!

    When do you finish exams?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,127 ✭✭✭✭Leeg17

    Thursday :)

So if I'm understanding it right you have 2x 6 weeks running concurrently essentially? Would you have to put in many hours of work/study outside of college?

Really can't sleep tonight. Watching Rise of the Planet of the Apes,
when your man's dad dies, it's so sad

In a normal 12 week semester you have class for two and a half hours a week per course, but now I have class for 5 hours a week per course, and you still have the same amount of assignments due if you were to the course in 12 weeks.

So I do 2 classes now for this 6 weeks, and one other class for 6 weeks after, so get 3 credits this summer. Its complicated and not ideal, only reason I can think of having the system is the teachers don't wanna work all summer!

Loads of reading and assignments to do all the time. If I was very good I suppose I would be putting in an extra 8 hours a week or so per course. I'm not very good though :o

    Good luck!
