And with a new QB, does that mean they get 2 more years….

We need a new D Co-ordinator…. who can Dabes attract with his track record.

He needs to give up play calling and get a new OC as well. Same problem here unless we promote from within.

I wonder if the planes have only served to reinforce Mara's position and instead of twisting, he will stick and let this play out with these two.

This is the best time of the season to support the Giants though as they can't embarrass you as they do on the field!

And in he'll come after 3 games when Sanders gets benched for being terrible.

He'll provide great headlines for the New York Post.

So Carter at 3 and trade up for Dart at 25

Interesting they passed on Sanders twice

have to say I’m kinda happy nobody picked Sanders. Waaay too much baggage there with his father

    Absolutely

That retiring the jersey is hilarious

We gave up nice picks for Dart

    Hope he's worth it

Apparently we offered Titans 2 1st to move up

The giants still suck I see

Defence actually looked good at times. Got no help from the offense at all. It's definitely a matter when, not if, we'll see Dart

bad teams (and badly coached teams) always find a way to lose

Decent performance against the Cowboys (in context). They were really only a bad decision away from a win. There was no need for Wilson to throw that deep ball. The pass wasn't even on. I think he was being cocky.

Although having said that, we could do with a cocky QB. Someone with some confidence. I don't mind risks, when the majority pay off. This was not the game and definitely not the time to take a big, unnecessary risk.

Other than that the amoint of fouls was extremely frustrsting. I've little faith in our defence. Cowboys always looked like scoring whenever they had the ball.

The big positive I took away was it was great for the Giants to be involved in a thrilling game. Even if it was two poor teams.

    Oh dear!

Media is all out for Dabes today and rightfully so. That was atrocious. Game plan and details from the coaches were not there.

Listening to one podcast, they were saying that for a home opener, there was no energy on the crowd. Mara will not like that. Could be planes again next week.

let’s face it, the season is done already. Wilson had a career game last week (still lost) and played like himself against KC. Daboll will have to start Dart soon if only to try and save his own job. Regardless I think him and Schoen are gone in January

F**k me, but it is a sh*t show:

Saw a tweet about the players left go, Jones / Barkley / McKinney / Love / etc. all being part of winning teams and being substantially better than they were in NY.

2024 draft which was saving Schoen now looks less rosey. Nubin and Philipps had very poor games last night and so far this season have also been poor.

    We offer nothing.

I think Mara should sell that whole organisation needs to be revamped. Too many Chris Mara's in the house.

Sink or swim time for Dart

I'd be shocked if he's ready

Daboll throwing his last hail mary

the lord giveth (a win) and the lord take it (nabers)

Such a pity about the injury

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,703 ✭✭✭boccy23

And so the Jaxson Dart era hits a reality check.

Talk about a self inflicted f@@k up.

Coaching has to be questioned after some of those errors.

Hands up who saw that coming!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,104 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    Wow we beat the Eagles

Can't even think the last time we did that

nice to wake up this morning to that news

mad thing is we really should have a winning record

    threw away some awful games

Dart was very good last night

Concussion waiting to happen though as he's brave out

Eagles defense is in crisis, but all the same I thought it was a great performance. Rematch in 2 weeks.

    That one hurt tonight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,019 ✭✭✭wawaman

    Threw it away. Literally.
not having a competent kicker after all this time is a disgrace

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,104 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

Only the Giants could have lost that match

Unfortunately the derry lad kicked himself out of a job

    Not good enough

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,019 ✭✭✭wawaman

this team is cursed. Inexplicable losses, injuries, bad luck. You name it
