Been a glorious afternoon here in West Cork.. A wild, sweet wind came and blew the fug away, and warm, blessed sun,..

Had a wonderful time in the garden.

    Still sunny with magnificent skies.

Am watching some fork lightning displays to my NW at the moment from a shower skirting a few miles NW of Tuam at the moment. Only 2 distant rumbles heard but first thunder I have heard for a very long while. :)

Edit: another very distant rumble and the sun has just peeped out!!

Edit: taken a few mins ago (I am no photographer :o) shower base seems to be in over the Mayo border now. No lightning or thunder to report since.

Sunshine for most of the day here in Newport, Co. Mayo. This was the view of the hills just a few miles to the north though, about 2 hours ago:

Nah, watched weather happening elsewhere rather than directly overhead. Currently watching a black run of showers just to my east this time around. Talk about being piggy in the middle! :( Only a few drops here today amounting to a spectacular 0.3mm.

Bring your waders, high tide Cobh 07:43 SE wind means rising tides will race and our max is 06:00 with continued intensity to about 09:00 and then just heavy rain and showers.

And of course the ESB may have to release water too, so fun times. reservoir looks high in Inniscarra today too.

I have a nice view of the south section of the Lee in the city. Shall set my alarm a little early to get a look in the morning, see what kinda height it's at. Seemed very high this evening anyway.
