Hibs need to get Kevin Doyle or Simon Cox,Paddy McCourt,David Meyler,Shane Duffy to name a few, on loan. All who are warming the bench for their respective clubs.

Kevin Doyle will start for Wolves next season and might even get a move back to the PL.

The rest would get far more value by loans to English Championship clubs - possibly even League One!

Words cant describe how miserable I feel this morning. Never left game early but even I left once injury time came along.

That was painful to say the least.

Just like thank Celtic, Rangers, LOI and neutral fans over the past few weeks who have been nothing but nice and wishing us well up to the final.

Just was not meant to be. Again!

Got home to Waterford at four o clock yesterday and typical of Hibs they build you up to let you down again its all part of the process of being a Hibs fan, could not believe how spineless we were on the pitch Hearts destroyed us although Craig Thomson did not help matters the sending off and penalty were a joke and how Ian Black was not sent off is beyond me,but besides that they had the hunger we were toothless and fair play to Pat Fenlon for coming out and not sugar coating it,they are trying to keep McPake the rest can crawl back from where they came from totally spineless.I know they are looking at some ex LOI players in uk but dont know who anyway it was good to catch up with some friends over the weekend just a pity about the two hours at Hampden

Very dissapointed for the Hibs fans. Another shocking refereeing display which didn't help matters but to be honest ye looked to have very little fight in ye.

Will be interesting to see what changes Fenlon will be allowed make by the board over the summer, I'd imagine his stock has dropped a lot after that performance even though he met his targets for the season.

I dont think his stock has dropped he came in with the remit of keeping us up which he did, getting to the final was a bonus, but it showed up all that is wrong with Hibs and to make matters worse the players were in Le Monde nightclub that night,if i had performed like they did in that final i would not show my face in public let alone a bloody nightclub.Fenlon will get his men in this summer and you will see a different mind set from Hibs starting in August.

Partick Thistle midfielder Paul Cairney signed on pre-contract agreement
    Motherwell defender Tim Clancy signed
Hopefully about to sign James McPake permanently from Coventry
Probability of signing Hearts striker Kevin Kyle
Possibility of signing Crewe winger Byron Moore

Gone are Garry O’Connor, Graham Stack, Ian Murray, Sean Welsh, Scott Taggart and loan players George Francomb, Leigh Griffiths, Matt Doherty, Roy O’Donovan, Tom Soares and Richie Towell

A lot of work to do....but good to see Fenlon getting some kind of a start on it!

Kevin Kyle? Bit of a gamble there

I dont think anyone would argue as to Fenlon has one hell of a job to do to get us out of this mess.

No doubt about it he really does have a massive job on his hands. He almost has to build a completely new team. Good luck to him. Hope he does well this season.
What would you consider success for Hibernian this season Kew?

We have to be looking at getting into top 6 again. The cup final hangover will be over the club also so we have be realistic too.

But fighting relegation will not be acceptable again this season.

Bar the cup final Fenlon did great job and even on that final the players had lot to answer for too.

For some reason I always like to see Hibs do well, now that's even more so....

I'd love to see Pat Fenlon become a success over there

Well considering we dont win much and seem to make life as diffcult, its hard to hate us:pac::pac::pac:

It was pointed out before, but Fenlon now has to pick up a team that suffered its worst defeat in its history(cup final).

Its going to take time, but we have to expect better standing then 2nd from bottom last season.

If get to top 6 I be happy and can work from there. Maybe get nice run in cup competition.

Great news this morning in that James McPake has signed 2 years Contract with the club.

By far our best performer when he came in last season so bit of good news for start of season.

Yes the permanent capture of James McPake is a huge signing!

Billy Brown being released by Hibs means Kyle is a no go!

Motherwell defender Tim Clancey (from Meath) and midfielder Paul Cairney from Partik Thistle also in the bag

The return of Dean Shiels would be a very good bit of business too if it comes off.

Hopefully the new contact for young left back Scott Smith will prove successful.

Still a long way to go. Really need a few more new players over the next 2 or 3 weeks.

I don't envy Pat his job!

Great to get Paul Cairney. He was Thistle POY last season.

Love to get Shiels back. Really thought he go on to do more. But glad to take him back.

Both on trial as far as im aware with possibility to sign both.

Maybury must be 32 at least now if not more

Maybury is even older then that. He will be 34 by the time the new season gets underway.

Looking forward to the big kick off tomorrow.

4 points or better from these opening 2 fixtures would set some nice momentum for a couple of very winable games coming after them!

More signings needed tho - on top of the half dozen new players that will still need time to gel. A good start is vital!
