Just in door and with little sleep in a busy working day, but was worth it for very good performance.

From being at the game even though we did not seem to control the gamec we were much better with our passing and clinical in final third. Some quality performances last night and you have to wonder how the hell we have not won more games at home on that evidence.

Mcpake had a brilliant game I thought, and was good to see Doyle get his first league goal.

The atmosphere was the best I have been to at Easter road in long time. I suppose it was mini cup final in way and also the Hearts game is just arund the corner and there is real buzz in city

Do you guys think Pat Fenlon will do major surgery during the summer?

I think he will. Its hard to know if we hang onto the loan players. Much will depend I think on if we win the cup and the extra incentive to stay that maybe club is going in right direction.

No question though that we will need to purchase few players. The problem will be can we hang onto Mcpake on loan from Coventry and few others that may be looking at moves to England etc.

I think Fenlon will look to buy few more LOI players in summer too.

15.000 attendance, highest attendance at Hibs all season.

Surely the fact that those who went would have a bigger chance for the cup final wouldn't have anything to do with that ? :pac:

Also, how the hell did that goal get given ?

Few people made the extra effort alright to make it:pac:

Which goal are you talking about? The first? It seemed harsh peno if thats the one, although few people got texts from friends saying it was, but they may been biased.;)

Good luck to you. I hope you guys win. It would be pretty poetic to see you end your cup hoodoo against the enemy.

Hope it turns out to be a great day for you. I am a Celtic man so I would rather we were in the final. But I wish you guys all the best. If we can't win it I hope you do. Not to mention I firmly believe that Hibernian is a club which has tremendous potential and a cup win next weekend would provide a massive boost of course for Hibernian. Hopefully our demolition of them this weekend carries over next weekend in your favour.

I said it to few mates, they can beat us 5-0 for next 5 years just to win Saturday. Christ 110 years for this, but be worth if we win. If we lose......

This is our CL and WC Final rolled into one really.

Christ we are due victory against them.

Please God just this once. Please Please Please!

I'm sure this will be appreciated here :pac:

A Hearts fan burnt his cup final ticket trying to iron out a crease.

Ian Downie wanted to get rid of the fold on his ticket so thought he would straighten it out with the heat.

The 34-year-old told the Evening News: "I saw my mate’s ticket which looked fresh and brand new and thought 'I'll just spruce this up a little'. I put it in a tea towel and ironed it, but I was in shock when I took it out."

Luckily the seat number and reference number are still visible on the ticket and he can apply for a new ticket.

Mr Downie called the SFA who said he could get a replacement as long as he still has the original.

He has now made an appointment with the ticket manager at Hearts to make sure he gets to Hampden.

I dunno whats more stupid, burning the ticket with the iron or telling the newspapers about it! LOL

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 431 ✭✭1967

Can't say i am surprised to see this genius, most jambos are deluded as they convince themselves the club is well run and there are no financial difficulties,so burning a cup final ticket would not surprise me in the slightest, probably lucky his phone didnt ring while he was ironing the ticket as he would have burned the ear off himself.

Probably mentioned in this thread already. Interesting story about a gypsy's curse put on Hibs 110 years ago after they sacked their last Irish manager when they last won the Scottish Cup. Only another Irish manager can break the curse. Step forward Pat Fenlon.

Who was the manager in 1902 when they last won the Scottish Cup does anyone know? It'll be a great story if it happens. Danny Boyle will surely be thinking of a movie.

Hope Hibs and Nutsy can do it.

Dan McMichael was his name. I think he died soon enough after winning it too, if I remember correctly.

    Gutted for Hibs.

1-4 at the moment with half an hour to go.

So much work for Fenlon to do go the Summer in every single department. Starting at the back.

Hibs were poor but it was shocking display by Thompson absolute disgrace

Hard lines lads - Big players didnt turn up today, in fact outwith McPake i wouldnt give any of them pass marks.
Griffiths and O'Connor were majorly dissapointing, Kujabi was a mess and Sproule has never developed into the player we all thought he was going to be.

Fenlon has a lot of work ahead of him.

Hibs need to get Kevin Doyle or Simon Cox,Paddy McCourt,David Meyler,Shane Duffy to name a few, on loan. All who are warming the bench for their respective clubs.

Does he deserve the chance to? On the face of it results have been very poor.

Yep - Hibs were in far worse form before he took over mid season imo.
