They briefly discussed the new hurling proposals on the Sunday Game online after the program finished. They did mention the unfairness of promoting both CR finalists at the expense of Meath. No mention of the unfairness of Sligo being promoted to the Nicky Rackard Cup despite coming third in the Lory Meagher while Leitrim, who came second, stay down.
You'd hope that the GAA would come to their senses but I'm sure they can't afford to risk Antrim staying in the Christy Ring for yet another year. And sure it's only Meath.

Who is refereeing the kildare meath match on Saturday night

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,750 ✭✭✭iDave

How did Sligo wing that? Actually maybe its best I dont know.
I think being the only Ulster county thats hurling adds to this feeling Antrim should be in it. Ennis said he wont be taking it lying down but will he get the support he needs from within his own county?

Sorry if this isn't allowed, I've my tickets got already for Saturday and won some from the GAA Facebook page today (I had a choice of games and briefly floated the idea of Clones or Semple to the better half only to be shot down!) if anyone is looking still drop me a PM, I'm not sure if they are stand or terrace as they haven't come yet.

Cant remember last time i was this excited about the footballers.
Amazing what a strong finish against Louth can do for the delusion.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 11,400 Mod ✭✭✭✭Hammer Archer

No change to the team that started against Louth. Anyone know how serious James McEntee's injury is? He'd be a great option to bring on if fit.
This could be an absolute belter of a game.

I'm looking to head down myself but will probably have to drive what with the lack of transport in and out of Tullamore at that time of night.

Is it sold out does anyone know?
Im gonna try supervalu but i fear i may have left it too late. Sky Sports 5 may be my only option

I think the stand is sold out but I'd say there will be some terrace tickets left.
I may have a terrace ticket to spare if you do end up stuck.

God I can't wait to get down to Tullamore it's a pity the game isn't earlier! Haven't looked forward to a Meath game like this in ages.

PS I still have them tickets if anyone is looking, they're competition tickets so they're free to a good home.

Did Burke get a red card after the half time whistle? He got a card for sure and I fear it was red

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,750 ✭✭✭iDave

No plan going forward. Hoofing to a marked Lenihan or COS running into a black hole

Not saying anything about it on KFM. Of course it's hard to hear anything with all those champagne corks popping.. :-)

Kildare the better team... Meath have more to do.... Nothing wrong with that... Kildare in their second yr under o'neill.... More developed physically.... I'm not from Meath but used to teach there so follow games and results... These lads didn't go out to lose....

Well that was just a horrible performance, but the way i look at it is, kildare hammered us in navan, if both teams progressed the same way since then, then they would still beat us tonight, saying that, we done ourselves no favours, we're back to the packing the defense to the point where if manage to stop the opponent scoring and break with the ball, we have no support to help lenihan or mcmahon, who are outnumbered by 3 defenders, but we still try to give it to them anyway, o'sullivan fumbled the ball so many times i cant remember, and the chap who man marked biggy reilly had the easiest game he'll ever have, Just another one of those games to forget
