Target Turrets?

A wee question for you technical lads i have a swift scope 8-32x50 with target turrets,have the scope zeroed @200 yards and the turrets reset to zero.Is there any simple way of finding out where your ie 300,400,500 yard adjustments can be made with out going through boxes and boxes of ammo.

You could use a Ballistic Calculator. This will give you a guideline but you will still need to go out and fire a few shots at each distance to confirm these or make adjustments to them.

Once you have this done you will only have to remember the number of clicks or MOA it took for that specific ammo at that distance.

If you change ammo these adjustments could change slightly.

What rifle, caliber, barrel length and ammo are you using?

Hi Ezridax its a ruger 77 mk2 ,.220 swift ,26" barrel and using 40grain hornady bt .

Exact same rifle as my neighbours. IIRC its roughly 5" at 300, 16" at 400, and 30" at 500 with a 200 zero.

Although as dev110 said use a BC to find the estimated values, then set the scope to these settings, and actually fire the distances to etermine the exact settings.

Good excuse for some trigger time.
