Please complete this form with your details if you wish to avail of the group order.

    Edit 29/02/2012

I was googling cheap places to restock on CO2 canisters and I came across a boardsie group buy from 2010 from this crowd

    http://www.co2cartridges.co.uk/eu/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=254&category=303

I was looking to get myself a bunch of threaded 16g canisters, they can be bought in 10 x 30 boxes for:

    Subtotal: £139.99
    Delivery £30.49
    Basket Total: £170.48 (inc Vat)

Which is roughly 200 euro, coming in at 30 for 20 yoyos or 66c each.

If I was to arrange a group buy and accept cash via paypal or bank transfer, with collection from Swords or delivery via an post as an extra, would anyone be interested.

Needs about 10 people looking for 30 each to fly and then any more on top is a bonus and may bring the price down a bit more.

Sounds good I'm interested but to see if I'm understanding this correctly its 30 canisters for €20?

Also I'm in Cork so would need to sort out some postage arrangement.

Presume they're a standard road bike tube size and fitting yeah?

I'd throw 20 quid in the ring for 30 of 'em.

Yes it would be 30 canisters for 20 euro give or take the exchange rate on the day.

This would be the canisters only, they are a standard thread and fit all road bike CO2 adapters.

You would need to buy the bit on the left in the below picture that these screw into in order to inflate. It fits both valve types, and a cartridge will instantly inflate to 120-130 psi on a normal road bike tyre, just make sure you are not pinching the new tube between the tyre and the rim before inflating.

If you can point me in the direction of the adapter I'd need, I'd also be interested in 30 for €20

    Interested too.

    I'm in

I'd recommend having a cut-off point or a limit on the order, just to save your sanity. Meeting up with 15 people is one thing, 50 a very different ball game!

I'll throw my name in the hat aswell, if you haven't already met your quota

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,813 ✭✭✭cython

Count me in for 4 boxes, as I know 3 others interested in getting in on this

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 68,190 ✭✭✭✭seamus

Every extra case make shipping marginally cheaper, so if there are 20 of us, it becomes around €19 a box. 30 of us, €18.50/box :D

Stick my name in anyway whatever way you want to set it up.

    I'd be interested too.

Ok I think for my sanity we'll call it a day at 20 boxes.

    On the list so far

    Inquitus x 1
    Dubba x 1
    Fat Bloke x 1
    RPL1 x 1
    RT66 x 1
    Lusk Doyle x 1
    Lagnagoushee x 1
    Lennymc x 1
    LCRC_BAX x 1
    shamalam x 1
    Lemag x 1
    DUBintheSTICKS x 1
    Idleater x 1
    Diarmuid x 1
    G Rock x 1
    Highway_To_Hel x 1
    sled driver x 1
    cython x 4
    seamus x 1
    triggermortis x 1
    redzone x 1

This list brings us to 24 for now, I may have to call it at 20 to keep it manageable, in which case I may limit cython to 1 box in the interests of fairness.

Sending CO2 canisters via An Post in against their T&Cs, and onward Courier carriers to Cork etc will be too pricy I suspect @ 20-30 yoyos a box.

As such I will have to enforce collection only in Swords. Anyone who cannot collect in swords, please confirm you are no longer interested in thread so I can pare down the list.

    Thanks,

    Inq

Last time I did this, the shipping seemed to work out most efficient for a 10x30 order. I ordered 20 boxes in separate orders of 10 as that worked out cheaper.

Shipping on a 10x30 box is £30. Shipping for two boxes is £45. Shipping for 3 is £55. So there's a definite reduction in cost.

However it is worth noting that each 10x30 box weighs 17.5kg.

Swords collection is no problem for me

I can collect in Swords and if convenient I can bring back some boxes southside for collection in Citywest or Dalkey.

I commute from Dublin to Cork every week. I'll happily bring a few boxes down if I can pick them up in Dub. city centre.

I'd also be interested in half a dozen of these things, either way I'd be happy to transport them...

    Thanks studiorat and RT66!

studiorat maybe you could take 3 from my box and 3 from Lemag's box (if he's cool with that) for the hassle of bringing them down from Dublin.

If anyone who has their name down and doesn't was the 30 I'll go halves with you when you get them. Just an idea.

(Edit, I can also be a courier from Swords to IFSC if anyone was to collect them in town.)

Will try to arrange collection at some stage, might be later than the rest but hang onto them for me

If either of you wouldn't mind picking up a box for me it would be greatly appreciated. I'd collect them from you in Cork at your convenience. Otherwise, Inquitus, count me out of the order.

I'm putting in an order for 30 units, but need to arrange delivery to Dungarvan or Waterford. Is there anyone coming down my way?.........Can pay you in CO2....
    Thanks.

I with Lemag on this - I wont be up in Dublin in the foreseeable future so I'd need to know if RT66 can collect from Swords and studiorat can collect from Dublin city centre to bring down to Cork with him. Its probably just too much hassle really trying to organize all that.

Swords to Dublin City Centre isn't a problem for me. I'm in town most days so can pass on for distribution whenever suits.
