Hey Guys,

I'm looking to build my first PC at the end of next month. Yes i know new tech will probably be out by then but I'm looking for advice on whether or not an extra €200 makes the difference or not and where it would.

So it'd be great if you'd help me make up a build for €900 and a build for €1100 to see what difference the extra dosh makes.

The build is focused mainly at gaming and would consist of:

Graphics Card
RAM
Case
PSU
Mobo
CPU
SSD

I have a sound card, hard drive and optical drive i'll be using from my old PC.

To answer your question about spending the extra €200 it all depends on what it gets spent on. What resolution screen are you using? Are you planing to overclock?

You've answered most of the questions already, but fill out this form so we know exactly what you need

To answer the question, €200 makes a huge difference.
In the €900 build you might put in a graphics card worth €200, so with an extra €200 to spend on a GPU you could go from a 6950 to something like a 7950.
Or maybe put in a 128GB SSD, or get an IPS monitor instead of a TN panel, etc ....

200ru will make huge difference. You base will be same anyway:
z68
2500k
8gb
60-120 ssd
600w psu

Then gpu.

There is a huge difference between 6950 and 7950 and that's 200eu difference.

You might as well just keep it in this thread. It's only got a couple of posts, and people that have already posted in it will get notified of replies. And actually, by the end of the month, there won't be anything new out. You could wait until mid-march for Ivy Bridge, but that's about it. Any graphics cards that fit into your budget are pretty much already here.
