New here also, received my letter to say I passed the assessment centre stage with a list of documents to fill in myself/ and get filled in by doctor and optician. Received my letter yesterday and my surname begins with W, trying not to get excited with the info I've read on here with medicals etc....

Well that's everyone's theory of surnames out the window haha, nice one mate congrats, I'm T, I phoned up the help line the girl said there's people who are onto medicals who's letters were only posted yesterday so here's hoping

Def looking like order of merit but kind of hopeful that they told Sharon that order of merit means nothing? I think I'm just clutching at straws now lol
Or.. To speculate a bit further, maybe it's going by day of AC lol?! Mine was the 25th I think

Hi all, I have just joined this forum today although I have been following it for a while. I pretty confused about several posts over the past couple of days. I received my letter this morning about passing the A/C stage along with the opticians,vaccination, security check forms etc which have to be returned by 5th Aug. I'm unsure as to whether or not people have received actual appointments for a medical at this stage and if so when did they get these forms to complete etc?..not sure how peeps can go straight from A/C to Medical without these forms and check being completed? (PS, they aren't the same forms we had to bring with us to the A/C)

Yes have people received 2 types of letters? Some people getting letters with forms yet others with actual medical invites??

Its so confusing?? You would think that everyone would be following the same selection process but I guess not :-( I was so excited when I got my forms this morning but now I'm not so sure. Wonder if the people who received direct medical appointments have applied to a position in HM Services before an therefore have security clearance etc or maybe they are splitting the group half n half.......eliminating those who fail medical and those who fail security checks??? Any ideas folks? I don't know which group could be in a better position at this stage argghhhhhh, the waiting and not knowing is a killer :-(

No I think its a case of the above post...not medicals just forms so well done sounds like u r in first batch!!

Wee question, I'm still waiting on my letter arriving but what is the medical forms being sent out. Where these not already filled in or is it just to do with injections?

I got a basic optician form.....a vaccination form inc dates for Hep B, Tetanus, polio etc and an Identity check/self disclosure form as well as an initial registration form for an online Counter Terrorist Check. These forms are different from those required for the A/C. Hope this helps :-) We are all pretty much in the dark at this stage I reckon :-(

This is dire lol, congrats to those that have got good news btw, im not gonna lie the girl I was on the phone to didn't know much and gave away nothing, just that there is still letters going out, and I was told if you haven't heard by now as in regretfully, that's good news, she did say those that did the very last AC were the first to be marked so maybe it's going backwards that way, saying that god only knows, it's excruciating waiting, those that are filling in online ctc checks etc your on the right road, coming from a friend who's an officer from the last campaign, he said if you get to that your flying, trying to not rumour mill but just sorta going on what I've been told and know

I'm hoping we do Sharon, but I really don't know it's just the unknown that's the worst part

I'm kinda wondering how I would react if I didn't get a letter tomorrow, I have a rugby game tomorrow morn and my head isn't in it at all, and if I don't get a letter then I'm thinking its gonna be most definitely a waiting list, which will suck big time

Lol I got a big brown envelope today so excited and was crap from a university about masters courses lol was raging!! Highbury put ur frustration into the game !!!
