Well weepete - if about 300 people drop out I could maybe join you before you have finished your probation.....

Really wish I had scored better in the assessment centre now given my unforseen change in employment status.

Does the info pack mention anything about being able to stay in millisle for the training period?

I know its not much help but the lady on the phone told me that it wasnt a residential course, yet did not say that you couldnt stay up there and as they offer you travelling expenses, either a donation to find somewhere to stay over or facilities at millisle were not ruled out. Cause it can be a bit of a trek, as its on the coast its not exactly central, plus a few of our southern friends have applied, are you from the south hayes?

There is, for a lack of a better phrase, a gentlemans club for people in the service i know of in a fairly central location, but maybe they wouldnt appreciate a bunch of rookies, tearing up the place. But we'll have to arrange some sort of do, a friday night or saturday when the majority of us are in training, cause once we are posted with the shifts it could be near impossible to get a date to suit.

No, I am from just outside Ballymoney, but not looking forward to the trek and wear and tear on the car you know. If it has to be done that will just have to be the way. At least they offer travel expenses, so wont be too bad.

Didn't notice that in the pack - noticed that it said we had to have flat black shoes with us - Would assume that when uniform is issued you would be expected to wear it - Still need to sit down and have a good read through the full pack - just had a quick read through it taking key points

So the flat black laced shoes they talk about in the info pack aren't are issued uniform shoes? We have to buy our own aswell? Did they give any more specifics? Do they have to be steel toe caps or can I wear my patent brogues from Topshop?! Ha. Also im confused.. are we wearing black shoes or trainers on the first day then??

I work in a pub where you need steel toe caps for health and safety for yourself when lifting and moving kegs etc but arent really allowed to wear them for the health and safety of your customers i.e when you kick someone out the door, so fair chance we can rule out steel toe caps, but then again you never know.

Yes i love my steel toe capped boots and no offence but i find it hard to beleive any girl has less than 9 pairs of shoes.

Is there an information evening in millisle before we start like in garnerville or do we just rock up on the monday morning all green and smily faced?
