In the news in February when the posts were advertised it said NIPS expects to recruit up to 200 so that made me wonder how many places exactly there would be,I'm guessing they will take on at least 200

Dont be disheartened, I was in the top 10 only got my medical letter last wednesday had it this tuesday and got an offer today! So the medical is a fairly quick process usually a week or less between invite and doin it and it seams to be the last hurdle before the call.

Beg to differ here - Have been waiting approx 3 weeks to get mine sorted out - still not sorted as yet because they cannot determine if I had a BCG due to lack of records - on a different note I reckon the final intake will be in the region of 150 + maybe as high as 200

Plenty of time - reckon there will be further intakes in October, November and December - There may even be more subject to the pass rate of the initial groups - 67j

Just for everyone's information. Spoke to recruitment today and they said there currently around 100 in the merit list and working down Hopefully that gives everyone around that in the merit area a bit of a lift.

So do you think by that they meant that they are only currently considering the top 100 then?
Or that they have only reached the top 100 but will continue on down the list?

No, I am 100 percent sure that they meant that they are working down through at the minute, but they just are around the 100 mark as to medical invites etc. So hopefully next week we shall hear something regarding a medical.

Well you are alot higher than me so hopefully once you hear I won't be too far behine you!

You must be good at getting info outta recruitment - i've phoned them multiple times and emailed and they will tell me nothing! :rolleyes:

i got this back from them today also

We are currently processing the medicals and are now around the one hundred mark and working down the list. You should be hearing from us soon with a date for your medical examination. Hope this is of assistance to you and if you have any further queries please contact us.

Well according to one of the OHS staff they get through about 20 medicals for the NIPS a week so it can take a while through us all.

Could be 4 or 5 weeks then before I get mine then - seeing as they are around the 100 mark now........at least its something to aim for

Yes I'm grand thanks. Just wish the ctc would hurry up ! I was at the grand prix at day sat , good but very long ! Was lorax good ?
