I hope ur wrong but I think u are right.all there will probably be is cost of living rises until promoted.after we hit 23k. Do u think we would get extra.money cause of the dangers of the job.think the psni do.we will have to start checking under our cars everytime we r getting into them etc and not be able to tell anyone wat we work at.wat do ya say if someone asks.do we say we work for the civil service-but when someone says that ya sort of think they r in the police or something- or am I just being stupid

Mod Note - the above post is an excellent example of the text speak that is being used around here. The charter clearly states No Text Speak. Please make the effort to spell correctly.
@euros1 - nothing personal whatsoever - just using your post as an example - there are others. Thanks

I think it will be a call to say that we are being offered it and then the letter will be sent

Not even sure if we would get them, possibly just limb restraints and the more senior officers handcuffs ?

A load of keys! I would imagine hand cuffs would be needed, i know dog handlers carry batons, so would imagine again we would too cause the dog handlers, well they have their dogs we would only have our words, wits and hands. We are taught about control and restraint, once you have someone controlled on the ground you want to be able to keep them restrained pretty sharpish. Radio for calling in movement and back up, possibly cs spray all carried on a batmanesk utility belt!

Can't honestly see that we would have nearly as much as the Psni although I suppose it would depend on where and with who you are working in the building.
