Nope it's reality. Besides the hype we are going nowhere fast. Two shops closed in my local shopping centre gone this past week alone thats 40 jobs right there. Plenty of this going on. Shocked at the jobless figures today tbh staying steady besides over a 1000 leaving every week. Very worrying.

    What were they selling?

So this guy, like yer wan earlier, knew it couldn't last? Yet still took out a mortgage at 60? Where are his brains?

off topic so i apologise but in relation to shop closures i just noticed the unique shop in the st stevens green centre is gone.

Worst case for this guy, he loses the house to the bank, he has no credit rating, they can't get blood from a stone, he will get social house, benefits and supported by the state (for as long as we are still standing!). So at 60 that might be better than emigrating.

Their sizes were tiny. Their XXL wouldnt close on me. Korean imports I suspect.

Does this mean we have seen an end to that leather jacket with the beige shoulder pads?

Clare, the current caller wants the Irish taxpayer to front up cash so as she can emigrate and run from the debts that the Irish taxpayer will be holding as the debris of her mortgage is left behind...

lovely, that Joe would allow such an outrageous suggestion airtime

It really is such a ridiculous situation with the banks.. We shovel them money from taxpayers, they use this money to procure the services of people who then put pressure on those people that contributed the taxes to keep them going... It's like paying a guy to beat you up..
