She seems unprepared even though she was mentioned on the promo during the Ronan Collins show.

Madness that she applied for and got a mortgage at her age, I wonder if she is even able to rent the gaff out for a decent price wherever she lives.

I went to a job fair here during the height of the boom, it was packed as well, no mention of that at the time. Job fairs exist everywhere all the time, nothing new but I guess it sounds "shocking" "awful" and just downright depressing so it suits the profile of Joe's listeners: retired, housewives, unemployed and taxi drivers.
