T8 on 220 Swift. Want to put on .243.

    Hi lads,ive a T8 on a .220 and im wondering will it work on a .243? Iv'e doubts it will but feed back be great

    As far as I know they come in 2 sizes, .25 or .30 so it should be fine for your .243.

    You might need to get a new bush reamed out to the correct size for the barrel, I think they reccomend .02mm clearance :rolleyes:

    Thanks for your reply. I hope it does now.The gun dealer looked at exit hole and said nope that wont work on it. I don't know if he's hoping i include it on the trade in or something as its brand new. I think its a .25 diameter hole.

    Its been a while but does each mod not have a caliber rating on them?

    As said they usually come in .22, .25, and .30 cal. If its marked as .25 cal then you're fine. Have a look on the body of the mod, and see what markings are on it.

    its on the base round the bushing it should give you model thread and calibre

    I see it. It says .25 so im lucky.saves me buying another :)
