Taoiseach speech in Davros

The Taoiseach has said in Davos the problem with our economy was that people went mad borrowing in a system that spawned greed, went out of control and led to the crash. What do people think of his statement? I for one do agree with it, he is getting a lot of flack about it but personally I think he spole the truth.

Start by withholding pensions to the likes of failed incompetent regulators, bent politicians, and let non systemic banks fail, as they do in the rest of the private sector.

Of course the laws didnt cover what has happened; but a start could be made to ensure that it can never happen again.

Unfortunately, something one can be sure of is that the laws and regulations put in place during and after a crisis such as this, and intended to ensure it "never happens again", will be dismantled as soon as the memory of the crisis fades.
