I still think you are both being a bit over the top but I really don't have the time to argue this. Let's agree to disagree.

As for the hotel - for goodness sakes - that is basic information on their own website that should be their responsiblity to do.

This is an extract of routes 203, 214 and 219 in the south west corner of the city.

Take the top 20 hotels in Cork and see do any of them have information on their website about Bus Eireann city services.

Then go to the Bus Eireann website and see how much information they have about the top 20 hotels in Cork.

Information about bus routes is Bus Eireann's responsibility.

Information about hotels is the hotelier's responsibility.

Most hotels will have a "how to get here" or "directions" or "location" section and most hotels in Ireland in that section never show any public transport options.

I don't think it is too much to ask that hotels do include this information on their own website?

    But perhaps you do?

I think it's reasonable yes, once BE have comprehensive information about their bus services, including decent maps, on their website first.

    Do you think that's unreasonable?

Well I don't know of too many bus companies that list hotels on their websites no.

I would expect a hotel to at least do that much research themselves given they are going to be telling guests at reception how to get to somewhere?

But then again you always do turn everything into either Dublin Bus, Irish Rail or Bus Eireann's responsibility so there's not much point in continuing this conversation.

    Time for the ignore button.

I've edited my post as you have picked it up wrong.

As regards responsibilities, it is the responsibly of CIE companies to provide proper information. Simple as.

I would only be travelling single aswell as I will probably be returning after the last bus!

Hardly any such thing as a single on the P&R is there?

    They don't check tickets.

I'll probably get the 206. I've only been in Cork maybe 5 or 6 times, nearly always for work, so it's been in and out again. Looking forward to seeing some of the city.
