Ok another question, our puppy doesn't seem too mad on dry puppy pedigree or dry puppy bakers food, even moistened, the vet had said to give her dry chicken last week for a few days which she couldn't get enough of but now back to normal food she doesn't seem bothered with it. Any ideas for other food? She is still just less than a kilo so maybe the dry food is a bit much for her?
Sorry to say, but both Pedigree and Bakers are awful foods, really low quality. Go to your local pet shop and get a good quality one like Burns, Arden Grange, James Well Beloved, Hills, etc etc. They are all much better foods than the supermarket ones, try and stay clear of any pet food that can be bought in the supermarket as its usually crap.

You need to be firm too with it comes to feeding or you will end up with a fussy eater. If the pup thinks its going to get chicken because it doesnt eat the dry food they will cop on pretty quick to that one.

What you do is offer the food, leave it down for 15 mins, then regardless of whether its eaten or not you take it away and offer nothing else until next mealtime, not even treats. The pup will soon realise that if it doesnt eat up quickly, its gone and gets nothing for another few hours. Keep to this routine and after a day or 2 the pup will know to eat up or it gets nothing until next meal time.

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a go
