A proper Pizza Hut wouldn't go amiss.

I know there are those PHQ delivery things all over the place but after ordering from a few different ones I can't help but think that they're quite substandard.

Phq isn't pizza hut pizza at all, I'm convinced it's godfathers pizza (awful) under a different name. I would rather get a takeout from an actual pizza hut than order one from these delivery places.

    CINNABONS

    The Cheesecake Factory

Cinnabons....but in Celtic Tiger years I heard they were looking for €6M or the likes for an all-Ireland franchise. Nice, but not worth that.

    Dennys

    +1.

Quite sad but one of the highlights when i go to Florida for holidays is going to Dennys for breakfast.

    All American Slam FTW.:)

I love Japanese food, and it just occurred to me to wonder whether there was such as thing as Japanese Fast Food. I know there is in Japan, of course e.g. Hokaben places at railway stations where you can pick up a Bentō Box for lunch, and noodle bars for that post-pub-pigout. But I don't know how well it could be "commoditised" in a way suitable for a Western fast food joint, while keeping up the quality.

The most likely candidate I've found so far is Tenya, who specialise in Tempura (deep-fried) cuisine. Google Translate can't quite hack their website e.g. the current special appears to be a "Tendon happy bustle of winter".

I would love if there was a really good American Diner like one you'd see n the program Diners, Drive-ins & Dives.

A high quality fast food, BBQ, steaks, ribs etc with everything prepared from fresh.

    Applebys (spelling?)

Jack in the Box yum yum

You probably mean Applebees. Never been to one of those, but I did go to a Denny's in Houston in 2009, for breakfast. I had a pretty good full breakfast, but was a little surprised at the cost, which came to something like $15. They had a no-tip policy IIRC, so I suppose the "tip" was in the price.

There used to be at least two Pizza Huts in Dublin up till a couple of years ago. One was in Rathmines, beside the Garda Station. Think there's a cafe there now. If you look on Google maps, the old Pizza hut sign is there.

The other was on Suffolk Street. Again if you look on Google maps, you can see where it was.

Back in college (2001/2002), used to meet the missus there for lunch. They did an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet for a fiver, or something ridiculously cheap like that. Fecking nyom. Not sure why they left Ireland. Best pizza around, though no doubt seriously bad for you.

There is a pizza hut in Sligo they do a all you can eat for 7 euro monday-thursday.When i was a student we used to take up a couple of zip lock bags fill them up and under the jumper.Used to eat for 2-3 days for 7 e it was a life saver more money for drink:pac:

Can't see them ever taking off here. We don't have the fascination for donuts like they do in the states.

Also someone should tip off a certain American franchise that it's been completely ripped off over here:

its not really fast food, but I ate in an Outback restaurant a few times, thought it was great, but maybe it was just the staff that was on.

Semi fast food........ Friendly's, Applebee's, Uno's and Denny's. Sit down affairs but you can be in and out in 20 mins. Having said that ..... how come nobody has come up with a Bacon 'n Cabbage Fajita?

After been to America 6 times, we only discovered Applebee's last September. My God, it kicks Denny's Bottom

Hoping to go to Canada in September and we've already looked up where they are. Also it is so cheap for great food.

Yes would love to see Krispy Kreme here, all over the place in London.

+1 also on Pret A Manger which was already mentioned, huge favourite for me when in London.

Also Pod Food in London, amazing healthy food and they do a great Thai Green curry.

Not fast food, but one of those Ben and Jerry's stores where they have all the different flavours would be cool.

They have one of them downstairs in the cinema in Waterford.

Popeyes. They kick KFC to the curb in the fried chicken department. I think that they are only in the Southern US.

Taco Bell should never darken our shores EVER. I wouldn't feed their crap to a dog.

    Krystal burger, hands down.

Anyone who has come staggering out of a club on Bourbon st New Orleans and gone for a few Krystals will attest to this.

Taco Cabana could be added to that list...and Sonic (No. 1 with mustard ftw)

    Taco Bell is revolting rubbish.

I would, however, like if Applebee's, Wendys and In N Out Burger came to Ireland.:)

For those on here who loathe fast food, no-one forces you to go and eat their food. Live and let live.
