So who pays the wages here?

"Daft Media is one of Ireland's largest online media groups. Founded in 1997, its flagship title, Daft.ie, is Ireland's largest property website with over 1.2 million monthly unique visitors. It also owns three other property related websites, Rent.ie , Property.ie and Let.ie. In 2008, Daft Media invested in Boards.ie, Ireland's largest community website and Adverts.ie, a social classifieds website. In May 2009, Daft Media launched Daft.com, a property website focused on the Northern Ireland market. The combined audience of all the websites in the group totals over 2 million unique visitors per month."

    Eamonn Fallon is the CEO..........

Its interesting to see how heavily monitored the content on this website is.

I would be interested to see what the political or business connections of the owners of this website are.

Advert revenue pays the bills I presume.
The Daft investment prob paid for the upgrades and expansion in to BoardsDeals, Adverts.ie etc.

Boards.ie has always been heavily moderated and monitored. No change there.
I'm sure there is no censorship of Daft. As with all companies, provide the evidence and back up your claims and you should be ok.
Just don't be a ass about it :) That gets people banned :)

    OMG!!!!!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention happytime! Nobody else had a f*cking clue that Daft owned Boards.

    Do your own research OP.
Its interesting to see how heavily monitored the content on this website is.
10,000 people read it every day. That's how heavily monitored it is.

If you're actually asking, "Are people on boards being spyed on through their posts", then that's about the same as asking whether the Gardai are monitoring every conversation that occurs on Grafton st every day.

What I think is a more important question is: Who is HappyTime?

Why do they keep starting these threads?
    What is their agenda?
Who are they really working for?
What is their association with Rupert Murdock?
    Do they have webbed fingers?

The troika ECB/EU/IMF now owns boards since daft's property empire collapsed and was taken over by NAMA and then the EU/IMF/ECB. The trilateral commission, Bildebergers and Rotschilds are also significent investors. :D There is secret messages hidden within the HTML code of the site with biblical and lunar references also.

most of the worlds power and wealth is in a very few hands

whether this happened by accident or design is irrelevant.

hence "conspiracy" is just conjecture and completely irrelavant

the catholic chrurch did a great job in keeping all of you in line, and teaching you never ever to challenge institutions, organisations or any aspect of the establishment. It robbed you of your creativity and your critical faculties.

This is one of the main roots of our crises as a people. Many of our great artists came to this conclusion and fckued off first opportunity they had.

The internet is about freedom of speech.

This site is heavily populated and heavily regulated, I would like to know who owns the site.

Obviously it is a very cheeky question for me to ask, given the amount of flak I am getting from the teachers-pet types around here.

    But hey, thats Ire-land

So why are you asking questions that you already know the answers to?

The internet isn't about freedom of speech. Take a load of photos of naked children and post them on your own webpage. We'll see how long your freedom to do so lasts.

This is a private website. You've been kindly given access to it, all you have to do is follow a simple set of rules which are there to stop muppets ruining it for everyone else. I never understood why this is such a problem for some. It's not rocket science. Some people feel the need to act like they own the place and when they get caught, they cry out that their freedom of speech is being infringed upon.

There's no freedom of speech on this site in the same way that there isn't in your home. If I charge into your house and start calling you a c*nt, you throw me out. Why should this be any different?

Actually the internet is about universities sharing academic documents between eachother in a simple and editable format.

Anyone who claims that the internet is based on freedom of speech is like a sqautter who moves into an empty house and then complains about his rights being infringing when the owner throws him out.

Freedom on the internet is a consequence of it's format, not a intention of it.
