    Hereford 3.00 Supreme Team 1.5pts e/w @ 9/1(Bet365)

Certainly not the most quality field that will go to post for tomorrows 3m 2f handicap hurdle at Hereford tommorrow. It will probably turn out to be a real slog on the forecast soft to heavy ground and in my eyes, Supreme Team has got a great chance.

This nin year old has never won a race but has some decent placed efforts on similar ground over staying trips. This horse is slipping down the ratins from the high ninetys to 75 which is what he will run off here. He will only have to carry a handy 10st 3pds and this will be further reduced by the 7 pound claim of talented conditional Peter Hatton.

Supreme Team's two runs here have both resulted with him going home with place money, including a 26f event on soft ground off top weight. If he can replicate a good performance like that he should come close. He should also come on for his last run, which was his reappearance for the season. He should be involved at the business end.

Supreme Team was backed into favorite but never ran with any gusto. Never travelling he was struggling with a circuit to go, and probably needs a few more races after returning from his break. He finished tailed off. -3.00pts

A few for tomorrow at Wolverhampton.

    Wolverhampton 2.25 Spin Again .5pts e/w @ 33/1(PaddyPower)

Not much form on offer in this 7f apprentice handicap at Wolverhampton, but I think Spin Again could have a realistic chance of causing a bit of an upset. Lucy Barry has always done well aboard and he is now off a very low mark stepped down to class six as his last few runs were in class five. Massively overpriced here.

    Wolverhampton 3.25 Idol Deputy 2pts @ 11/2(William Hill)

A course and distance winner who has also been placed here a lot. Rachel Kneller takes seven pounds off a high weight and she has a good partnership with the horse. Has a nice draw and should go close in this competitive affair.

    Wolverhampton 3.55 Golden Flight 1.5pts @ 11/2

Martin Harley rides this nicely drawn six year old maiden, who showed as though he could win a race like this at Dundalk last time. He finished a close up fifth that day and has been dropped with a pound in with a shout.

    Wolverhampton 4.25 Polemica .5pts e/w @16/1(Bet365)

Won four times here last season but has never won at six furlongs before. Back at last winning mark now though and has a good chance if running back to form.

Might have one or two for Taunton tomorrow.

  • Registered Users Posts: 878 ✭✭✭sonnky

    Taunton 2.10 Rangitoto 4pts @ 15/8

It looks between Rangitoto and Master Of The Fiddle in this valuable novice handicap chase, and I think Paul Nicholls horse will oblige. A winner at Cheltenhams open meeting in a decent handicap hurdle he won his fencing debut at Wincanton well. If he jumps okay he should win.

    Taunton 3.10 Dantari 2pts@ 5/1(Bet365)

A decent handicapper last season and he finished sixth in the Coral Cup. He was also placed in some other good races as well. If replicating that kind of form, he should win this of a far lower mark altough the step up to 3miles is a concern.

Thats all for tomorrow, good luck and enjoy. Back to school for me but just 64 days till CHELTENHAM!! :)

A few for Ffos Las and Doncaster, might do some for Fairyhouse and Kempton later.
    Doncaster 3.25 Vin De Roy 1pt e/w @ 12/1

Dropped down to class four and should go close off a career low mark. He should go close if he likes the ground.

    Doncaster 3.55 Hi George 2pts win @ 9/2

Twice placed in junior bumpers over shorter trips, and should go close here in receipt of weight from Shotofvodka.

Ffos Las 12.45 Cock Of The Rock 3pts @ 2/1

Placed all runs over hurdles bar a decent fourth in a grade 2. Should be winning this.

    Ffos Las 1.50 Rimini 2pts @ 7/1

Has been running well without winning and a great chance here off bottom weight.

    Ffos Las 3.00 Al Shababiya 1.5pts e/w @ 7/1

Should go close on handicap debut.

    Kempton 4.45 Lisahane Bog 1pt e/w @ 12/1

IA competitive affair but is a CD winner and well drawn, overpriced.

  • Registered Users Posts: 878 ✭✭✭sonnky

    Kempton 5.15 Earlsmedic 2pts @ 5/2

Good second last time at Wolverhampton and this is easier.

    Wolverhampton 7.45 Lovat Lane .5pts e/w @ 14/1

Has good place form and an each way shout here.

  • Registered Users Posts: 878 ✭✭✭sonnky

So had a few winners there and about even. Will update the stats soon.

Tomorrow they go at Mussleburgh, Huntingdon, Lingfield, Wolverhampton and Dundalk. Will have some for the English tracks.

    Mussleburgh 1.10Charminster 2pts @ 13/8

Clearly the best of these over hurdles and should be winning this.

    Mussleburgh 2.10 Red Tanber 3pts @ 9/4

Is chasing a hat-trick and this looks winnable, the main opposition is probably top weight Coppers Gold. Also has a good 5 pound claimer up.

    Mussleburgh 2.40 Melange 1pt e/w @ 11/1

Has a really good chance here off an all time low mark over hurdles. Finished fifth over a similar trip a while back and should go close if tuned up.

Keeneland in the bumper at Mussleburgh has a good chance but too short for me.

  • Registered Users Posts: 878 ✭✭✭sonnky

    Huntingdon 2.50 Phoenix Des Mottes 2pts @ 7/2

Good third here last time out in a class 4 and dropped two pounds and in a class 5 here. Should be thereabouts.

    Lingfield 3.30 Daniel Thomas 1pt e/w @ 7/1

Taking advantage of his dropping mark of late and placed last four outings.

    Wolverhampton 4.10 Pulsatilla 1pt e/w @ 7/1

Well drawn front runner here and running well of late, a chance of winning one.

    Wolverhampton 4.40 Only Ten Percent 1pt e/w @ 10/1

Placed last twice in class five and six, and one of those in a handicap off four pounds lower, capable of running a big one.

    Wolverhampton 6.10 Tamereen 1pt @ 13/2

First time cheek-pieces on a horse whose been running well in defeat lately.

Thats all for tomorrow, enjoy the racing.

  • Registered Users Posts: 878 ✭✭✭sonnky

Stats are soon to be updated after 3 winners today this thread is going in the right direction at least. Tamereen was nailed on the line aswell, so it should have been four winners. Anyways some good racing tomorrow.

    Kempton 2.15 Moleskin 1.5pts e/w @ 8/1(Ladbrokes)

A second season over fences for Moleskin and he remains win-less over the larger obstacles still. Last year he was a decent second in this race and is now five pounds lower in the handicap. Can be moody though and if its a going day he has a great chance in this.

    Will have more tips later.

  • Registered Users Posts: 878 ✭✭✭sonnky

    Kempton 3.20 Fine Parchment 1pt e/w @ 9/1(Ladbrokes)

A Grade 3 winner last march, rated 130 he is now just 135 with a 5pound claimer up. He was second off this mark at Aintree but ran poorly in the Becher. If back to form he should run a big race.Alfie Sherrin should also be watched.

    Lingfield 1.35 Diamond Vine 2pts @ 11/2(Betfred)

Fourth here last Saturday and as his form is improving his mark is dropping. Is getting close to a win and today might be the day.

    Warwick 12.50 Easydoesit 1pt e/w @ 9/1(Coral)

Second here last twice and in first time headgear getting weight all round he should go close.

    Warwick 1.25 Frascati Park 2pts @ 9/2(StanJames)

Won first two chase outings and not disgraced when third in a grade two behind Zaynar, should have more to give here and 9/2 is too big to ignore.

    Warwick 3.05 Highland Lodge 5pts @ 11/10(Ladbrokes)

Beat the well regarded Diocles last time out and should be odds on here. 3 from 3 so far and more improvement to come.

    Warwick 3.40 Hey Big Spender 1pt e/w @ 12/1(Bluesquare)

If he repeats some of his best form, he is well in here, fourth in the Racingpost chase off a pound less and should give a good account if jumping well.

    Kempton 2.50
    Ohio Gold 1.5pts e/w @ 12/1(Bet Victor)
    Zanir .5pts @ 33/1(Bet Victor)
    Timesawastin .5pts e/ @ 29/1(32Red)

Can't get away from these three but they probably won't win this. Ohio Gold ran with respect in top class novice events last season and has Brendan Powell up on his handicap debut. Timesawastin was a good second at Cheltenham behind Rangitoto and has improvement to win this off a low weight.Zanir can be inconsistent but on best of form is well in and a hopeful put on him really.

    Navan 3.30Wicklow Lad 2pts @ 4/1(Paddy Power)

    Kelso 2.20Super Baby 1pt e/w @ 8/1

    Kempton 3.10 Lutine Charlie 1pt e/w @ 6/1(Boylesports)

    Write ups later.

  • Registered Users Posts: 878 ✭✭✭sonnky

    Navan 3.30 Wicklow Lad 2pts @ 4/1(Paddy Power)

Twice a course winner, although wasn't good enough in the Troytown, he should go well here dropped a bit in class.

    Kempton 3.10 Lutine Charlie 1pt e/w @ 6/1(Boylesports)

A course and distance winner, nearly all of Lutine Charlies wins have come from around this mark. Dropped 3 pounds for his third to Stevie Gee last time and now has a good claimer on board. Must go close.

    Plumpton 3.40 Stop The Show 2pts @ 9/2(Paddy Power)

Won this race last year off a pound lower and that was his last win. Richard Johnson rode him to victory last year on heavy ground and placed last twice. He ought to go well.

    Plumpton 2.10 She's Humble 2pts @ 4/1(Paddy Power)

Unlikely that two horses will complete back to back wins in the same races but I think there is a good chance of it here. She's Humble has dropped to within two pounds of last years winning mark and should come close here.

  • Registered Users Posts: 878 ✭✭✭sonnky

    So a winner today!

    Folkestone 2.30 Quam Celerrime 2pts @ 9/2(Bet Victor)

    Folkestone 3.30 Pete the Feat 1pt e/w @ 6/1(Paddy Power

So She's Humble came home in front, a really game performance.. Stop The Show found the going a bit too competitive and seems there may be something up with him.

    Staked: 4pts
    Winnings: 10pts
    Profit: +6pts

Yesterday was not so good.Quam Celerrime was well backed but was always struggling. Pete The Feat came second behind the well backed winner. A really good run but giving weight all round probably what got him in the end.

    Winnings: 2.50pts

    Tomorrow at Thurles
    Thurles 1.05 Star Neuville 2pts @

Was an impressive winner at Leopardstown and can follow up here over this further trip.Picapocketortwo is the main danger.

    Thurles 2.05 Askanna 1pt e/w 7/1

A grade two winner over three miles last May over 3 miles which is probably her better trip. Fell over this trip behind Voler La Vedatte when travelling well. She won her debut over fences nicely and if running to her best form she has a great chance.

Will have the English racing later.

    Lingfield 1.00 Morar 1pt e/w @ 12/1

    Lingfield 3.30 Rhythm Seeker

    Taunton 3.20 Third Intention 2pts @ 13/2

  • Registered Users Posts: 878 ✭✭✭sonnky

Today was not so good. No winners- two seconds, but had them both on for a win. Ranjaan was very impressive ahead of Third Intention at Taunton. Third Intention if hes dropped a pound or two in the handicap can win a decent race soon. Rhythm Seeker was fourth and Morar finished down the field after a really bad mistake two out. Star Neuville was an unlucky second and Askanna didn't run well and was pulled up. 3 miles on good grounds is what she wants.

    Lingfield 1.25 Hinton Admiral 3pts @ 13/8(Bet365)

A seven time Course winner who is in good form of late. Looks well treated here if he can adjust to the six furlong trip here. Drwnfromthepast is a big danger.

    Lingfield 3.40 Idol Deputy 2pts @ 6/1(Bet365)

Second over CD last time out and now 4 pounds better off with the winner the reopposing Prince Of Thebes. Seven pounnd claimer on board once more and should get really close again.

    Chepstow 1.45 Simply Wings 1pt e/w @ 6/1

In with a chance on best of form and will love the ground. A big price in a 6 runner field.

    Chepstow 2.20 Charm School 4pts @ 9/4(Paddy Power)

I don't like backing favourites in big handicaps but I'm sure the inexpierienced jumper Charm School can run a big one. Off a nice mark here and should run well.

    Chepstow 4.00 Zen Factor 2pts @ 4/1(Bet365)

Won over hurdles off a higher mark and can go close here in first time headgear on only third run since a lay-off.

Gunna take a break for a few days boys.. Will be back by the weekend..

  • Registered Users Posts: 878 ✭✭✭sonnky

I'm back after a week just refreshing myself.. The current bank is 100.40pts a profit of .40pts. So tomorrow racing comes from Cheltenham, Doncaster Uttoxeter, Lingfield and Leopardstown. It is going to be a day of quality action. I am currently going through thee cards and my picks will be up later.

  • Registered Users Posts: 878 ✭✭✭sonnky

So the racing in Britain has been hit hard by freezing temperatures and snow. Ayr is expected to race tomorrow but today theres racing here at home in Punchestown. The first is off at 13.20.

    Punchestown

    13.20 Royal Vic1pt e/w @ 14/1

Allure Of Allusion looks the likely winner here and the others will be scrapping it out for the minor honours. Royal Vic has stayed on in all his starts so far and was 12 lengths second at Limerick in December. He was subsequently fift over shorter at Navan and this trip will be to his liking, Philip Enright rides.

    13.50 Trifolium 3pts @ 13/8

Trifolium has improved with every outing and this doesn't look the hardest of Grade two races to win. He lost out to Pink Coat at Cork but has improved lots since then and prefers the heavier ground. He then hammered the decent Plan A at Limerick before being beaten by the very classy So Young last time out.

I'll post the rest in a few minutes.

  • Registered Users Posts: 878 ✭✭✭sonnky

    Punchestown(Continued)

    14.20 Blackwell Synergy 2pts @ 7/1

An ultra competitive qualifier for the Pertemps at Chletenham and the unexposed Blackwell Synergy looks well in here. He won on his last start at Clonmel and because of his jockeys claim today he's in off the same mark. He should go close if he returns from his absence of over three months.

Ill set out the Sizing Europe and Big Zeb race..

  • Registered Users Posts: 878 ✭✭✭sonnky

    Punchestown(Continued)

    15.25 Droim Toill 1pt e/w @ 14/1

If running to his career best effort(a win over 3m 5f last January) he should go close. He was off 110 that day and won 7 lengths he should go close off just 112 today.

    15.25 Lurgan .5pts @ 66/1

A thorugh stayer I fancied him in the Troytown where he finished a respectable eight that day. He was fourth in this last year off the same mark and if running to the best form has a great chance. Massively overpriced.

Thats it for today one winner so far hopefully these will do the business.

  • Registered Users Posts: 878 ✭✭✭sonnky

I'm back for another weekend of racing. They go over jumps at Mussleburgh and that is the first port of call, in the opening Novices Hurdle I can't get away from the Jason Maguire and Donald Mccain runner Ebanour. A winner on his debut on soft ground he then progressed to come a respectable 16 lengths 8th in the Grade 2 bumper at Aintree. There is doubts about others and im unsure Cross Of Honour will stay. If Ebanour runs to his best form he should be winning this.

In the second race I fancy Easement to get back to form for seven pound claimer Johnaton Bewley. Last time out he was only third over 22 furlongs but he stayed on and held every chance at the last. He just didn't have the pace of the first two. He could go close if improving a small bit.

In the Scottish county hurdle it could well be a wise decision to stick to Zafrangar twice a runner up last time out in good races- he should go close at a big price. Ubi Ace is another too look out for although it will be tough with top weight.

In the preceding Scottish champion chase it could pay to side with Indian Groom. John Wades charge was fourth in the 4 year old handicap at Cheltenham in 2009 off a mark of 134. He is relatively unexposed over fences and ten to one is a juicy price.

    Mussleburgh
    1.30 Ebanour 2pts @ 7/2
    2.35 Easement 1pt e/w @ 14/1
    3.45 Zafrangar 1pt e/w @ 12/1
    3.45 Ubi Ace 1pt e/w @ 6/1
    3.10 Indian Groom 2pts @ 10/1

No joy last week.. Will update the stats later. I have a few picks today but I am keeping it short.

    Ascot
    1.50- Bobs Worth 3pts @ 2/1
Unbeaten novice hurdler last term. Ran badly in the feltham but should revrse that form with Silvianco Conti.

    2.25- Tullamore Dew 1pt e/w @ 14/1

Well handicapped and a good e/w claim if he stays.

    3.00-Medermit 2pts @ 9/2

Im a big fan and thus trip is perfect..

    4.10-Hazy Tom 3pts @ 5/2

This is easier than his last run and he is a big price.

    Gowran Park
    2.40-Peak Raider 1.5pts e/w @ 6/1

Threatning to win soon and it could be today at a dropping mark.

    4.25 Mubrook 1pt e/w @ 12/1

A classy one that should go close.

    Haydock-
    2.45-Cross Kennon 2pts @ 8/1

Running well behind big bucjs lately and is very big price.

    3.20-Rey Nacarado 1pt e/w @ 10/1

A thorough stayer who could make them go feom 5 pounds wrong.

    Goodluck and enjoy.L

Yesterday was a bit of a disaster. Most of my horses coming first and second.
    Today the go at Navan.

    Navan
    1.50- Hawk Flight 2pts @ 5/2

He has gone close the last couple of runs and this is between him and Tennis Cap, whom he beat well last time out.

    2.20-Fully Funded 2pts place @ 8/1

Thus is between the two Mullins horses, but thurd place can go to Meades horse, who is a class act on his day.

Rite lads. I ament finding time lately to post up on here, but i have plenty of betting done. Today I have a few at Fontwell and Naas but I will have a quick look at Towcester.

    Fontwell
    2.05- Cock Of the Rock 2pts e/w @ 16/1

Has been running well in defeat Of late barring last time, when he could only finish 4th when favourite. Previously a bumper winner and often placed over hurdles he was also 4th in a grade 2 behind Fingal Bay. He wears first time cheek-pieces and is way overpriced.

    2.35- Trenchant 2pts @ 4/1

A winner of the grade 2 hurdle later on the card two years ago and a runner up in it last year. Trenchant has obviously got a bit of class about hum. A good jumper too and a cracking chance.

    3.40- Afsoun .5pts @ 66/1
    3.40- Third Intention 3pts @ 7/4

A really good hurdler on his day, Afsoun is very big odds here. Third in the last two renewals of this they were both stronger races abd he could go close again here.

Third Intention has been running well in the top handicaps this season and gets a good chance to win here. Fitted with headgear now.
