I reckon you and me are the only ones that would pick an E65 over anything else on the whole of boards!

    FYP! ;):p

I really like that octavia, nice coulour and it sits nicely. Plenty of room in it too for all the women shopping.

It's grand I'm also supposed to be working for exams but hey have to get the priorities right!:D

Nah there's plenty i'd have over an E65, just nothing else in the same price range at the moment. Hard to look past the value. As awesome as the E38 is, I don't know if I want to change to another one and do another 4 years at the same game. Onwards and upwards an all that. :)

To be fair, the petrol ones are fantastic value for money compared to their rivals. That one isn't even one of the cheaper ones either!

I think you missed my point! There's a lot of people here would take an E38 or any other pretty barge over a 146 or whatever - but no matter how many toys it has an E65 is a damn ugly looking car.

its nice though, very nice. i cant find any of these cheap ones! theres one on donedeal for 7300 but it looks kinda rough

Get a few quid off and that's a bargain. Great spec too.

I know what you mean. But i've come round to the E65 a lot since it came out. If you see one sitting next to an E38, the E38 looks seriously dated as i noticed up in Prentice BMW. You could also argue that a non sport, prefacelift E38 is not the prettiest thing to look at either.

Whilst I do prefer the E38 looks, the E65 looks far fresher to me now. Its also very impressive in size and spec and the interior is streets ahead of the E38 (bar the horrible dash). I'm a torn man. :pac:

I just couldn't have one of those 7 series with 130k miles on it over a absolutely mint 147 GTA.. have you heard the noise off them!:D

It's been said for years that Bimmer enthusiasts only begin to appreciate the current model just as the next one is about to be introduced. The facelift E65 I can just about begin to look at but not the original. I will never own one, in fact there's not many post '02 Bimmers that have any attraction for me at all.

The latest models are a huge improvement IMO but I want my cockpit style wraparound dash back.

Bit bloody expensive for a pre facelift 735 and not 740. A 740i 16:9 nav with the rest of that and similar milage would command such a price

thought this thread wasnt really about price and more about the actual cars and their rarity, condition etc? that car is sweet!

My apologies the money madness in me occasionally clouds my judgement of beauty!

New economic reality - wouldn't find a 33X on Europe for that kind of money even if it had 200km on the clock! They are those ginormous alloys my back has experienced - what condition would the suspension be in after 85k miles on Irish roads!
Otherwise quite sexy with its red interior

I don't know, but some crazy guy posted the very same only a few posts back. A bigger engined BMW, less refined, and crazy tax to boot.

Oh look, it was you. :p

why do the centre consoles of the a3, a4, and 3 series for example look really basic and ****e? they're miserable looking imo
