Wouldn't you think rugby players would be able to afford a newer car than that? :P

That S4 looks very good value at face value - is it the real deal? Motorcheck just says Audi Saloon. No mention of NCT either.

If that was €102k new then it works out that the owner lost €298 each and every week of the last six years in depreciation alone  That's just mental. When you're losing €15.5k in depreciation the €1600 tax doesn't feel so big.

Someone's gotta buy them new so we can buy them once they become affordable! ;)

Nice car but shouldn't the wing mirrors (and roof rails) be chrome? Also the original s4 wheels are nicer imo. Still, an s4 avant won't hang around for long.

  • Registered Users Posts: 999 ✭✭✭Chriscl1

I'm not sure if all s4's in that shape came with the chrome. Big spec, I bet it's proper fast.

I hope you don't want to buy that?

All I can say is I'm blown away by the value out there.

Take a look at this XK, I would seriously consider it as a next car, wow:

    Cayman S too:

They've come down a long way but I wouldn't call them cheap, not yet anyway.

That 540i has been hanging around for a while.

I suspect the ****e ad has a lot to do with it. 540i M Sport retailed at 83k, I can't see there being €20k of options on this considering it doesn't even have the widescreen satnav or HUD. Better fuel economy than the smaller BMW engines because it's aluminium? Ya right. M5 power for 520d money? I didn't know the 500bhp M5 only had 300bhp!

The whole shouty tone of the ad just screams at prospective buyers to stay away.

That's a nice spec with the F1 Gearshift paddles

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,721 ✭✭✭✭CianRyan

The GTI reminds me of something, some kind of monkey maybe?

I love how vague they are as to how the extra power was gotten :(

What's wrong with coilovers? A low mileage, white GTi, with a nice reg and red leather.

The price is the only minor thing wrong with that car.

Nothing is wrong with them tbh and i like the interior if the TV's are abit pointless, just wondering what's been done under the bonnet to get 25% more bhp as it seems to still have a standard intake and exhaust system. As for the reg plate i would leave it as is to allow better flow to the intercooler and intake in general price is abit much though when im about 2 grand short atleast wonder how far i could get them to budge :p

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,694 ✭✭✭✭L-M

He's more than likely lying about the bhp.

A simple remap brings them up over 230bhp.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,033 ✭✭✭Jimbob 83

Yea i would probably get some decent sparkplugs a decent upgrades intake system a full miltek system with a downpipe and a decat then remap, anything after that gets into silly costs upgrading components, better off to just enhance what's already there.

mature owner who was a driving instructor is neglected to mention. remember seeing it for sale a few months ago with the pedals in the passenger footwell, and now you can see the cut out in the carpet where they are removed.

    shame, tidy corolla.
