Must admit to owning a few Thunderdome tapes back in the day. Always used to play this one while drinking cans of Amstel in the student house on Thursday nights in perparation for a session of drinking
kick fill at 0.54 with the volume up and bass eq maxed on the stereo will shake your bowels!

Serious mind bending hardcore gabber on there.
Can tollerate any music up to about 180bpm, 200bpm maybe pushing it a bit. But when it starts getting ridiculously fast 240bpm etc, i lose interest. Another thing i find with Gabber, is the lack of variation in beats, which kinda bores me after about on hour or so. Same with most 4 on the floor music, prefer a bit or a change, a breakbeat here and there, while listening to a set, to keep it sounding fresh and interesting.0 -

In fairness, i was never a huge fan of it, there was a bit of it played on the top floor of the Asylum from time to time but it never really had that magic about it, i do remember in homelands there was a fairly large hall in a part of the building that had gabber DJ on at one point, i poked my head in for about 2 mins & there was only about 5 people in there giving it socks while the rest of the event was jammers.
Its a world apart from what i was after really.0 -

It's huge in Holland, and most of Europe. They have huge outdoor raves, called Masters Of Hardcore, every few months. Which i would enjoy myself tbh, if i were at them. But as a whole, it's not my bag.0 -

In saying that though, i do actually like a lot of the stuff on Ruffneck Records, and even some of the Rotterdam Terror Corps, is alright too. But it wouldn't be some thing i'd listen to on a regular basis.
