    very very windy and lashing rain all day (Strange the radar doesn't show the rain) Wind died a little a few hours ago, but back now, with a raw feel to it.

    As usual we are missing the strongest of the winds here in NE Galway but made a fair whollop of rain earlier on alright.

    Continuous gale here now. Some severe gusts especially during frequent squawly showers. Structural damage seems likely if this continues or even increases.

    Windy in Sligo though Ive seen worse. 5mm of rain so far so nothing mad yet.
    Top gust 35knt here. Think Belmullet had a 53 but should be near 70 in the Northwest and North by 2am
