    Absolute downpour the past 5 minutes here - shows up very well as purples and white on net weather radar! Temperature irrelevant at 11.5

    Rain beginning to ease a little but still very heavy/almost torrential. Wind was extremely gusty during the torrential rain - Looking at the radar, a definite squall line developed and if it makes it to Dublin, we should be getting plenty of reports in shortly!

    Temperature dropping fast now. Already down by 0.4 to 11.1 in the past few minutes. Very heavy rain continues. Was not expecting this intensity!

    The squall is still looking pretty impressive as it nears Dublin . Will she hold out?!?!?! Moving very slowly, I have to say.

    Yeah wild here too. Large branch down in the garden. First big branch down in last 2 years. Well that's my firewood sorted for the next few weeks.
    6.1c. Squawly heavy showers. Strong gusts. Thunder & lightning.

    TODAY ... Blustery and colder with scattered heavy showers with some hail and thunder, these showers more frequent in Connacht, Ulster...

    No thunder or lightning here:( it was extremely windy as that squall line passed through. Strongest gust down the road in Mace head was 52.

    Got lucky there all right, can't imagine the windscreen would have stood much of a chance!

    Still some really heavy hail showers here through the morning, haven't heard any thunder since around 7am now though. Really cold out as well, 5.3C with a biting wind
