FM contacted the station telling how his tenyear-old son sought
help with his homework, needing ten facts
about ‘the Prophet
Bono’.
‘I thought he was
joking and then did a
search if there was a
prophet called Bono,
but, alas, it is actually
Bono,’ Les McClarence from Killarney said.
‘I cannot believe this
is in the religion book – Bono is there in print
alongside Mother Teresa as a modern-day
prophet.’
The book’s publisher, Veritas, admitted the
text, last published in 2003, is ‘quite old’, but
stands by Bono’s inclusion.
Marketing manager Derek Byrne said the
book’s teacher notes explain that there are three
deinitions of ‘prophet’ in religious teaching.
‘One is the Old Testament, an example would
be Moses, where God speaks to somebody; In
the New Testamant there’s God speaking to Jesus and then Jesus telling and showing people
what to do; and then the modern prophet is a
person who re-enacts what Jesus did and stands
up for the poor and the downtrodden, which is
where Bono could be igured into this.

Bono needs to be teabagged by a rhino. Animal cruelty, perhaps, but it just might shut his hypocritical gob for a while anyway.:cool::cool:

Anyone can be a prophet of god, it isn't hard. you just need absolutely no shame.

somehow I don't think even an ego as big as bonos would be happy about this though.
