According to our Liverpool supporting chums the cameras see everything that happens on the pitch. Presumably Sky should have produced footage by now....

According to your left back negrito it should have being seen also.

Do people in Uruguay refer to each other by ethic group rather than name?

He's an expert ventriloquist though. ;)

Anyway, I'm touched by your interest in dragging this topic up. I'm sure the United fans will be as unbiased as the Liverpool supporting chums.

You're capable of better WUM'ing than that.

    Appears that way.
I bet the usual Pool fans will be in shortly justifying this and saying it is totally acceptable.
    Context means nothing!!!

what a load of b0llocks, wheres he from is of no relevance. Its where its said and who it was said to matters. Clutching at straws.

Negrito", for example, could have shocking connotations for someone without full knowledge of the nuances of the language. But the counter-argument is that this is one of several derivations that are used in many countries, with no derogatory meaning – often in the same way someone could be called "pal" or "
    mate".

An illustration of this comes in the form of the message Dani Pacheco, the Liverpool player who is currently on loan at Rayo Vallecano, sent to his Spain Under-21 team-mate Thiago Alcântara via Twitter on Friday. It begins: "Negrito, enjoy yourself …"

Negrito - learn something new everyday.

Case closed by the looks of it. It will be a case of "Careful what you say from now on Mr Suarez"

B0llocks, if it the case its something you say to friends, not someone you are having a blazing row with it. Convenient excuse. hope the FA see thru it.

what about Dalglishs calls for Evra to be banned? Surely he knew what was said and should be held accountable as it seems clear that he said something that coudl be construed as racist and Evra made nothing up.

    You are presuming guilty then!??

If he's found guilty I'm sure the FA will deal with him.

Possibly a fine or even a ban.

Did Dalglish acually call for Evra to be banned? Stick up a link for that, never seen that.

If Suarez was a racist, why would he come out and say anything, he could have said nothing and there would have being no evidence, I don't see why he would hang himself out to dry if he was guilty.

We don't know theres no evidence, Sky not finding any doesn't mean theres none.

    incredible.

no, Evra said it would be seen. we were going on his recommendations thanks.

yes, it was a stupid thing to say in hindsight, but if he did say "negrito" he's more likely patronisingly calling him "mate" than being a racist.

i don't think he'd be copped on enough, in the moment, to say to himself, "if i say negrito, meaning mate, he'll mistake it for negro or ******, and he'll get all píssed off"...especially if it's his native language.

i'm sure i'm just biased though, and my unbiased Utd chums will enlighten me :P

It is highly unlikely any will be found though, you must admit this, in this age we live in, nothing is hidden and everything comes out sooner rather later.

    Two important factors.

I've read on various sources that Evra speaks Spanish but I can't get confirmation of this, does anybody know for sure?

And if it's just a Uruguayan-Spanish connotation, then tbh Suarez has been living in Western Europe for over five years, he should have known better.

not denying he was stupid, and maybe should have thought about it.

but then again, Evra should've thought about it before claiming Suarez abused him 10 times in full view of everyone.

    they both should've known better.

Here we go again 10 times, its irrelevant. This is what he stupidly said in the media but its nothing to do with the FA case.

We are not talking about the FA case here, we are talking about the incident between the two players and all that happened around it.

If it is a case that the issue revolves around the use of the word negrito, and that's not a term of racial abuse, then I don't really see why Suarez was stupid.

If Gerrard & Terry squared up to eachother next weekend & Gerrard said, "get out of my face pal", would you think he was stupid? Is it not the same thing?

    =========================

In my opinion, if this is what this whole ordeal has stemmed from, then the the case will be dismissed (obviously).

As it appears it may have been something of a misunderstanding I'd be happy enough for Evra to escape sanction & instead just have to apologise for so publically calling him a racist.

The great news for any racists in football now is that if they do want to racially abuse someone, they can just claim they were calling them buddy in spanish.

But by doing that, they wouldn't be racially abusing them?

if as reported the spat was bilingual as Suarez claims is "get out of my face Negrita" acceptable?

I am not saying this is what was said before I get attacked.

its the bilingual thing that is important, if they are constantly bickering in English and the only spanish word is this then thats not acceptable

Yeah, that should work for the Spanish speaking English players alright.

Yes they would, they could repeatedly call the player a negro over and over and then come out and say they were saying negrito.

It will work a charm, you'll even get supporters of his club demanding the victim apologize for calling him a racist.

Yes maybe all his utd teammates are racially abusing him too and hiding behind this negrito thing as well.

I think the fact that people actually speak different languages has gone over your head.

but if the only "spanish" word is this and could it could mean something else then its clutching a straws to use the lanuage thing as a defence.

Racially abusing him wouldn't be acceptable.

You seem to be kind of inventing a scenario - ignoring that it's not what is being reported here?

Negro & Negrito are different words though

The scenario you're talking about already exists - in that what you seem to be saying is that you could continually racially abuse a player & then say you said something else. That's where witnesses & evidence would come in.

Not inventing anything, Suarez said there was a bilingual conversation. I was just putting your scenario in a binlugual way.
