By the looks of it it's supposed to be a woo-yeah 'murca stars 'n' stripes effort, so it should be a five-point star. I guess that makes it sort of a star-typo, in which case "Wingdings grammar Nazi" might indeed apply.

gah! Was wondering why my back wheel was locking up this morning, dent in the rim. Must've been yesterday evening - coming through Drumcondra Road/Clonliffe Road junction, two girls decide to skitter across the various lanes in high heels. Have to brake a bit to let them by, was starting to grind back up to speed when a taxi peeled by with about a foot to spare. Clearly my consideration did not deserve any of his, and I was so distracted that I forgot about the massive pothole that was just ahead. Balls.

It's funny how so often it comes back to taxi drivers. Not that they're all bad. Hi Hermy! o/

Re the Star of David on the Lone Wolf's Lotus:
As I was leaving the track I saw his bike glimmering in the distance and had to take a look. I realized it was him right off the bat. We chatted for awhile and the primary reason for covering his bike is because of a message he had heard from God.
Ben (The Lone Wolf) had autographs of famous cyclists all over his bike but he is now covering them all. "The one thing all the cyclists have in common is that God created them all, and I want to show the importance of God in my life".
On the other side of the frame everything is covered and only displays the Star of David.
He is now unifying them all with God.

SRAM are doing a Garmin Mount - competitively priced at £15 and look good (apart from the logo) I'll pick one up but can't find it for sale online yet.

I might do Greystones in April, but there's a race the same day.

Perspective leads me to believe it's a disk wheel without a hub ;)

Incidentially, I heard (probably QI) the number of the Beast is actually 661 or 616 or some such. A bit like road tax; know as road tax but it's actually motor tax ;)

Just looking at my calendar, that's down for May, the same weekend as the Rás finish, the Mick Byrne 200 and Ireland v Pakistan.

    616

I prefer 666 particularly given its mathematical "beauty";)

That's the Level One course, not the Foundation (which is what I'd need to do first).

Whats the best way to weigh a bike? Is there any cheap luggage scales style thing on Ebay or anything like that? Or even any shops around Dublin with a big scales for heavy goods that would let you put it on for a second? I cant be arsed breaking down a list of components and googling the manufacturer specs...

Weigh yourself, then weigh yourself with bike in hand. Total weight - your weight = bike weight.
