Picked up a car tyre air compressor reduced from €20 odd to €4.99 in Tesco of Nutgrove. There were 3 left on shelf. Great value and easy to store. Works off the cig lighter and will inflate toys and dinghys etc.
9 of these left in Tesco Jervis st yesterday, but not that price. Cannot recall exact price. Sorry!

I may have misread the guff on the box but I actually don't think its suitable for car tyres. I picked one up with that in mind but my reading suggested its only suitable for "inflatables"

    Mahon earlier today
    No more Nails - 86c
    41g7jn%2B9v2L._SL500_AA300_.jpg

Brita Filter - €8 (loads left)
    images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQBtYvaNuG4wgu2HzQzx7RzdF9qSCZDAe2FrjBQ03g4rQy5bDYObQ

Supermoccia mop (or something) Sold out in Mahon but it was about 3 euro down from 12. Can't post a link or pic as don't know what it is exactly
The TDK CD-R 25 disk packs were €2.75 (a few left)
    images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTf1Euc4uG4HHmybe9YUhY0holo9omU5s5rFUfBj_klWbToQst_fQ
A few other bits and pieces like a softgrip roller frame for €1.12, hard small brush €1.25. There is reductions of 75% in things like Pot porri, candles and those stick in bottle type things (the name escapes me!) but they were sold out in Mahon.
And not a reduction but the normal price. The tesco own brand mint humbugs are 52c and really nice.

If it is the one pictured in alanbk's post, it is definitely suitable for tyres.

Need a fire extinguisher for the kitchen. Must swing past nutgrove tomorrow. Is 11€ good value. How much would they ordinarily cost.

Presumably, an AA fire extinguisher is for a car fire - no good for domestic use.

Fair point. I know there are different types of extinguishers for different types of fires. Probably does just apply to an engine on fire. Cheers for pointing that out.

Those AA extinguishers wouldnt last 2 seconds in a kitchen/house fire.Useless for a kitchen fire

Buy a propper 2kg one from Ikea for 30 euro.

1.2 x 1.2 meter fire blanket for 13 euro in Ikea aswell.

Aldi also sell 1 x 1`meter fire blankets from time to time for 9 euro.

Aldi / Lidl do them from time to time

Aldi had fire blanket for €9.99 this month might still be a few around
    http://aldi.ie/ie/html/offers/special_buys3_14592.htm

    For Lidl / Aldi
Generally the small car fire extinguisher is €9.99 and IIRC it's dry power
    The bigger 6Kg one is ~ €25

There is too much electrical stuff in a kitchen for me to consider water

Just noticed that one of mine is expired ( 5 years ) - worth checking yours
with the big ones you have a pressure gauge
