People who say Hiya should be shot

There is a girl who works with me, she's our bookkeeper, and she is on the phone quite a bit throughout the day. She constantly says "Hiya", and it is driving me round the bend

Another person in this shambles of an office starts internal emails with Hiya.:mad:

Is there anything that can be done to rid us of the plague of such a stupid salute?

    Salutations, Mr Pumblechook.

I hope you will not take offence but may I suggest there are worse ways to be greeted or acknowledged?

I refer you to my colleague of old, who upon entering the place of work would regale us with a hearty bellow "alright, c**ts?"

    Yours Sincerely.

    Mr oh ESQ

I concur completely. Everyone should have one of those gob stopper thing ala Ving Rhames in Pulp Fiction inserted so that any possible annoying words cant be vocalised.

Hmm. I do hope, Mr Gas Giant, that such an insertion is not confused with other eye watering insertions taking place in the aforementioned motion picture?

May I urge you Ms O' Connor, to kindly keep to the subject in hand, less all manner of beastly unpleasantness should fall upon us?

In my local Aldi the only greeting you get is Cash or Laser.

Hiya. I think that's a bit harsh. Cheerio.

    I shopped in Aldi once.

I went in for a loaf of bread & came out with a tin of Russian sardines and a snorkel.

'Aw right bud, staary?' is far worse.

Certainly might not be the ideal greeting in the workplace but I suppose that would depend where one works...
