She has spent the last 3 and a half years in prison for a crime she didn't commit, she deserves to make money out of this
She’s not going to have an easy couple of years ahead of her either. Her life, it’s not going to suddenly return to normal. It will be very had to escape the image she has been portrayed as in the media, not to mention the suspicion in the back of people’s minds.
The amount of people who are convinced she is a murderer because of their gut feelings. I would not trade any amount of money to be in her position.

She deserves the three years for trying to land her boss in it though.
That shouldn't have even happened though, why did they try to get her to implicate anyone instead of, you know, looking at the evidence.

So what do you think that might mean?

Edit: I pray you never make it onto a jury, no evidence to convict but you feel she's guilty in your gut?

oh for crying out loud, i said in my OP that I knew there wasn't nearly enough evidence to send 2 people away for life!!! All anyone on the jury could go on was hard evidence, which there wasn't enough of (or was tainted etc and therefore not trustworthy).

All I did was express that my instinct says someone with nothing to hide wouldn't chop and change their story so drastically so many times.

That more then one person was involved in her murder.

It was the one armed man. Or the man on the grassy knoll, I am not sure which. Knox and Sollecito are as innocent as Roger Rabbit I tell ya!

In 1972 A-manda Knox was sent to prison by a military court for a crime she didn't commit. She promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, she survives as a soldier of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire A-manda Knox.

Why would it indicate that more than one person was involved? you dont think Guede was capable of inflicting 47 wounds with 2 knifes? She put up a struggle and fought back.

Yes, just because a girl who was a bit simple was forced to confess back in the 80s, Knox must have been too. Knox is not simple in the head, she was able to stand up in court and articulately declare her innocence.

To be honest, my gut still says she did it. However, I recognise there wasn't nearly enough evidence to send 2 people away for life (thanks to the buggered up forensics), and they had little choice but to free both of them.

I shudder at how much of a celebrity she's going to become.

I pretty much agree with this sentiment. Apparently American news stations are already scrambling to get the first interview. She's set to strike a $1m deal for it. Can't help but feel sorry for Meredith Kercher's parents in it all. They're the ones who have suffered most, and they're still in the dark. They'll probably have to watch Knox go on to be a celebrity, making millions off their daughter's story, while they struggle on to get justice. Granted, the police f*cked it up, but I just feel awful for the family in this whole farce. They've conducted themselves with such dignity throughout and they deserve to know the truth.

Well the most likely culprit was found guilty and is still in jail.

They should be ashamed of themselves for letting them go free, Knox looks evil and always has this look as if she's hiding something

My word.

She must be guilty so. She has a big guilty head on her.

That says more about the narrow mindedness of suspicious people than iy does about the actual evidence for myrder in this case

Rudy Guede killed Meredith. God rest her soul.
His handprint on the pillow and finger prints everywhere including his DNA inside her, say’s it all.
His motivation was for money, 300 or 400 (can’t remember the correct amount) measly dollars to pay his rent).
He had been disowned by his adoptive family days before and his rent was due. He was being hassled by his landlady.
He fled the scene and changed his story numerous times.
Amanda Knox under harsh interrogation, lack of sleep and food , and the language barrier is guilty of falsely naming her ex boss . An awful thing to do, but she has paid for this with being imprisoned for 4 years and also will be fined now.
I hope Meredith’s parents find the strength to carry on

Well nothing has been confirmed, and that's all her family want. They want confirmation that the person who murdered their child is in prison, and they don't have that. How on earth are they supposed to get any closure on this when they don't even know for sure what the truth is? The Italian police have an awful lot to answer for.

After all the evidence that Guede is the culprit, I just can't understand why all the hatred is towards Amanda and not Guede. I guess Guede just does'nt sell enough papers.

Its the media. They had tried Amanda Knox and her boyfriend on day one.
Amanda Knoxs parents were quite right to hire a PR copmpany to help their daughter. You have to fight fire with fire. I hope Amanda Knox sues the papers and anyone who wrote books about her. This kinda media sensational crap needs to be stopped. From day one she was being portrayed in the media as a sex mad drug taking satanist.
The reality is she was a student far from home, she partied no more or less than any kid in that situation does at the age of 20.

Is there an argument to be made for either 1) Certain high profile cases to be held "in camera" or 2) to be subjected to severe media restrictions.

While the legal eagles will argue that the administration of justice needs to be transparent. There is also a case to be made that the media can exert undue influence as to the guilt or innocence of a suspect without reporting the true nature of the evidence presented in court.

It has too. Otherwise we get a completely one sided account of proceedings
