Balls, freed up some coins to go after an IF Vertonghen by selling IF Misimiovic, got sidetracked and tempted by packs as the last few I opened a few weeks ago (not the pre-order ones) had some nice additions; got absolutely nothing useful in two 15,000 packs, no player worth more than about 900 coins on the market. D'oh!

Any tips on my squads here?

I have a few K coins, but am saving up for Eto'o but hes not essential to get as Doumbia and Welliton are beast together.

Russian League:



Siere A:


Premier League:



I might keep an eye out for a cheap LM Lavezzi to get the chemistry up, but any players I should get that are good value/cheap that would fit in well in those squads?

Also, one thing thats puzzling me; why is Nesta rated 85, but Dias is rated 81, when he has mostly better stats?


Is there some other reason as to why he is rated 85? Hes also very cheap, I got him for 700 coins I think.

how on earth did you afford three teams all rated like 82.
can hardly afford 1 team rated 80

The russian league team above can be made with about 9 or 10k id say, massive bargains in that league.

I got a good few of my Siere A players from Jamescd here on the forums, who was very generous to give them away to me. I also get the 3 gold packs every month which gave me about 7k just from the 3 packs discarded if I was to.

The most expensive player I bought was probably Welliton who was 2k approx I think, but is WELL worth it.

i think i might save up to buy the russian team atm coins + my current team are about 4000 coins. but most are out of contract so i cant really play many games, i use the bronze players from the start. whos a cheap alternative to welliton? thanks

Russian League is full of fast cheap strikers.

Off the top of my head:

Doumbia:

About 1000 to 1500 coins usually. 93 pace I think! Absoloute tank. Love using him.

Martins:

Rated 77, about 700 coins, 91 pace I think. Decent player, for if you want to run past, then cut inside and square balls.

Wagner love:

about 700 or 800 coins I think. pace is 89 or 90 I think, good finisher, well worth getting as a backup.

kershakov: About 600 or 700 coins I think. Pace is 87 or 88 I think. Very powerful shot I think I remember him having, very accurate shot on him.

Id still advise getting Welliton, but hes the most expensive of the lot.

if you like taking free kicks, or like long range shots, then DEFINITELY get Honda. hes got a wicked shot and long range FK on him.

noob question :P if you have more than one squad and just say ur main 1 was france and u selected an english squad that u had, would the others be rested (as in build up fitness)??

No, but you could put a handful of players on to the second team's reserves / bench and they'll recover.

Sometimes it's to enter tournaments with different conditions (gold, silver, all one league, 11 nationalities). Sometimes it's for a bit of variety.

I've only put real effort into a Serie A squad, and started a "Road to Glory" series with an Asian team.

It's just recording the process of building up a team (for YouTube). Start with your basic packs and put together a decent team. I went for the Asian continent, but stopped mid-way through - bad timing! No different than how'd you play UT regularly.

Some people will just constantly restart the process and don't transfer coins over. So rather than getting bored of one team, selling them and buying another team, they'll start from the start all over again.

It is time consuming in a way - I didn't do it properly; just bought a tonne of bronze packs and worked from there. Cheating for the win! I think people get more efficient as time goes on - they know how to get bargains, understand chemistry and keep learning. So they build good / decent teams faster.

Free packs were for those who pre-ordered. If you pre-ordered, then your retailer screwed up unfortunately.

I bought fifa to play on my friends xbox. So i never had to use the online pass as his kid brother had a code once upon a time, therefore when people get like 3-4 packs at the start of the month its really confusing to me, guess I just had no luck!
