im afraid your on a blank here as it would be illegal to hunt without permission,
join a club get a foreshore licence or get a famers permission.

What you are asking (as was pointed) is illegal and called poaching, trespassing among other things. To have a firearm you must have either membership of an authorised range or permissions from land owners/farmers. So why not use the permissions you used to get the firearm or if you are a member of a range go out and knock on doors.

If you don't have a firearm then the subject is kinda moot and i would suggest reading the red announcement at the top of the main shooting forum page.

Lads. Everything fine. I got licence i got shotgun i memeber of shooting club and i shoot trap and skeet. I never hunt in Ireland and be honest dont know how its work here. For me just strange if i want few ducks for my diner i should get some permission even if hunting season open. I think for me probably better just forget about that idea.

There is your answer. Speak to the lads in your gun club. You'll get no better a source of info than from them. They will advicse you on whats in season, where to shoot, how to get licenses for foreshore shooting, etc.

In English, and without all the negativity being thrown at you because of your name, you will need to get permission from a farmer/landowner that has ducks on his land. Other than that it is illegal to enter a farmer/landowners property and hunt without prior consent. You don't even need a letter. Just call up to a farmer and explain what you want to do. The majority of them are more than happy to let you in as long as you also take out some rabbits for them. Not many farmers are fond of rabbits :D

FYI to those who dismissed him as an airsofter with a plastic M16: I have several airsoft rifles and enjoy the sport as well as real steel shooting.

Thats an unfair assumption on your behalf. I didn't pay any attention to his username. I don't care if its fluffy pink G-String. For God's sake mine is a fictional character on a Sci-Fi show.

My concern is with what the OP was asking. Without explaining (originally) that he has a license and a firearm he comes onto a hunting forum asking about poaching, because irrespective of the wording thats what he was asking about. He got an answer then explained he was a member of a club and had a license. To get to this point he has undergone the application process, and has permissions. The game club is simply a cherry on top. He has access to a club full of members that could have guided him.

While we all welcome new members and are only too glad to help, a lot of people find "short" or "aggressive" answers because they give the bare minimum of information in their first post.

The OP must know that in order for him to get his current firearms license he needed membership of a club/range or permissions so what would make him think that shooting anywhere else without permissions or the equivlant membership, etc would be okay. Even allowing for the fact that he did not know he still got an answer along with a cautionary word to not attempt anything until these permissions have been gotten.
