    hi all,,

just wondering would any of ye folks be interested in adding to this thread displaying your
"About This Mac Info" since it looks so nice in Lion.
There's an equivalent thread in the PC Building & Upgrading Forum where they post their windows experience index.
I know it doesn't display all the info about the Mac but at least it can show some of what we are using.
    i'll start the ball rolling

don't know if hiding the serial number makes any difference or not,
but better be safe than sorry i suppose.

also, this is my WEI already on boards

This is getting long in the tooth now, but when I got it first, running SETI was awesome :D It also had 12GB of RAM when I bought it, but 4 GB died, and I didn't replace it.

    Self-serviced : 128GB SSD, 8GB Ram from Amazon

Getting the 13" MBA in a few weeks for college. This is too big to be portable imo

It has almost none of the parts it came with when it was new :) new logic board, new Superdrive, new RAM, new HDD, new display, new case even! Great little machine though!

Press command+shift+4, and it brings up a new cursor, then move the cursor to the window you want to capture, and press space. The cursor changes into a camera then, and click to capture a screenshot.

Interesting fact, that camera icon that appears when you do that, is the last remaining icon from the NeXT days.

Yours arrived, DubDJ! Interesting that the integrated video card gets 500MB instead of 384 when you have 8GB RAM installed!

Yes and i'm delighted. Small issues to get used to but overall I love it.

I'm not too technical myself, but yeah it is 512MB. Also I didn't upgrade the RAM myself I just upgraded while buying it incase I ran into some problems doing it myself so it's the model I received from Apple, with no tinkering around on my behalf. I'm guessing this is a good thing though ??

Off topic, but can anyone tell me what the Intel HD Graphics 3000 are like in the new MacBook Air? I'm thinking of getting one.

The graphics seem to be good enough.
