Wednesday does look a bit... bleh.

However, besides that the other 4 days have plenty of time for the gym/pool. Delighted.

Make sure you're awake for the wednesday ARM Assembly, it's sooo important (as in it's the only lecture where you learn things, as the other is a tutorial), but it's very easy to be absolutely dead after 20 mins, just ask any of the incoming second years. The average wednesday morning for me involved all of the coffee. Then unfortunately all of the reddit.

Yis seem to have a grand aul timetable besides that, not too many 9ams.

K guys, just posting on behalf of the Computer Science Society to say that on the day you've got your CS orientation talk (Friday of freshers I think), we're going to be having a little reception afterwards, so you have the chance to get to know each other and also some of the people in older years.
Don't worry, we won't bite, and there's even free pizza!

Afterwards we'll probably head out for a few friendly pints, and everyone is of course welcome along to that as well.

Is there any point actually buying the recommended books or will the library suffice? The prices of some of the new editions is frightening

Not to sound stupid... but where did you find the book list? Did I miss a letter or something? :/

Oh, I just happen to know some of the titles from lurking here for the last couple of... eh, years.

Anyone have any idea where Dr. Sharp's room is? Even the security lad in the Lloyd is confused at this stage!

Mary Sharp? According to this it is ORI.G.34 which I presume is room 34 on the ground floor of the O'Reilly Institute.

He thought it was the O'Reilly too, but I actually couldn't find a way in.... Looks like it's being re-done?

Go up to the first floor, in the glass partition(closes at 5/5.30) beside security, then go in to the double doors on the left and ask the receptionist to point you to room 34.

It's actually at 4 o clock, I believe :) Think there's some peer mentoring thing before then (from 3 til 4?), so you guys will brought up to the Lloyd common room where we'll have pizza and stuff after that, and then onto the pub. The pub itself it literally just outside of college, so if anyone is new to Dublin etc they'll have no problem finding their way back to College after.

On a sidenote, it was great seeing so many freshers at the stand over the past few days, chances are I'll have signed up a fair few of you during that amount of time, and I hope to see more of you on thursday and friday!

Had to run for a Doctor's appointment (I say run but it's for my horrendous back pain so more like shuffle) after the Library Tour. Did I miss anything important after the ISS guy?
