You put up a post asking whether a 308 or .243 is better...

Everyone says 308, then you follow it with this post! :D

Almost all dealers will be able to order a T3 in .243... :)

Why, what are you doing with the foxes?
    I Lamp with my .270, it's a hella lot more destructive than a .308.

If the gun is primarily for lamping and the odd deer, then you'd be as well going .243 or 6.5 (I would lean towards .243).

would you know what price there in around?

The .308 will probably do less damage to a fox than a .243 as the bullets are tougher, designed to open properly on bigger game. If you've ever seen the results of a .243 on foxes, you wouldn't be too bothered about trying to find anything more destructive. It turns them to bits of furry jelly. A T3 Hunter or Lite should be about a grand new.

Are people under the impression that a .308 will someone "blow up" a fox. The last one shot by me had a nice neat hole in the shoulder, and a decently large exit hole. Seeing as how i'm not eating them, nor wanting the Fox's coat what difference does it make.

If any round hits a fox in the head its going to cause fairly serious damage. The tail will never be affected so again why the concern over how much damage it does? Surely the more damage the better as it provides a good instant kill. No having to run it down.

Not being a dick i'm simply asking? To get an idea behind peoples reasoning.

not exactly. a .308 wont expand the same as a .223 v-max so it is wrong to assume that a larger cal will do more damage to a small animal such as a fox.
here is a pic of a fox shot by me at 251yards with a .308 superformance 150gr sst.

    next is a fox shot at 80y with a 7mm08. 140gr sst

next is a fox shot at 40y with 100gr SP .243.

and last but not least a fox shot at 200y with 53gr v-max

you can see that the 200y fox shot with the little 53gr bullet has just as much if not more damage to it than the others shot at various ranges with much larger bullets
