Holy Roman to get some? Maybe the one and only PENTIRE CELEBRE
Good points, but the Duke has 5 runners out of Galileo mares in his first crop.

Venus De Milo, a top GP 1 filly. Out of a 62 rated mare.

Guinnevre, a 7f listed winning 3yo filly on her debut and only start. Out of a 100 rated mare who didn't win until stepped up to 10f and who won at 14f.

Starbright, a 2yo winner and pattern raced filly up to GP1 class at 7f as a 2yo. Out of a 73 rated 12f Ripon winner.

Martian, a 3yo gelding placed 5th on his only start and should pick up a win soon. Out of an 81 rated mile winner.

Man Of Seville, a winning gelding but at a modest level. Out of a 75 rated mare who only won one race over 10f as a 3yo.

That's a top class return from fairly modest and not precocious non-Coolmore Galileo mares.

He is putting speed and class into staying pedigrees, something which would complement the classier Galileo 2yo winning fillies quite nicely. Give him a nice 100+ rated Galileo mare and he'll be likely to give you back something of equal standing and possibly better .

High Chaparral has no current runners out of Galileo broodmares at all as far as I can see.

Mastercraftsman has no runners out of Galileo broodmares so far either.

Must investigate, and see who they are sending all those Galileo mares to.:)

Martian won nicely enough in a maiden today at Goodwood.

Had a look again at Peintre Celebre and Holy Roman Emperor.

Not a single Galileo broodmare filly has had a runner by Peintre Celebre.

While Holy Roman Emperor has had 3 runner from Galileo broodmares, the talented Leitir Mor and the not so talented once raced La Chapelle out of Galileo's first classic winner Dermot Weld's Irish 1'000 guineas winner Nightime and Lonrach out of a modest full sister to Scintilulla. No Coolmore owned ones among them.

I know Misty For Me and a few of their top mares have been to Fastnet Rock. It seems that Coolmore are throwing all their Galileo darts at Fastnet Rock, which should produce an awful lot of quality over the next few years. It's what they do, they're trying to produce the most commercial stallion stock they can.

Here's a list of O'Brien's 2 yo's, thanks to Urban. Why aren't they running, have any run? They're so classily bred they just have to be good?

Bit surprised, they may not be as forward as you'd anticipate, can't blame it on soft ground

They may not be as good as their pedigrees appear to make them look. Bar Beltisaal the Dams are a very mixed bunch.

This bunch Of Fastnet Rock's look like an experiment/trial run with Mares that they wouldn't be expecting a huge return from.

The next batch of Fastnets will as far as I know contain some choice broodmares compared to this one.

Coolmore bought a $2.5million War Front yearling colt that should be making its way to O'Brien for next year. That's some wedge of cash, looking forward to seeing it race next year.

2 new GP 1 winners for Galileo, our old friend Seville formerly of A O'Brien's yard won a GP1 over 12f in Australia yesterday and Altano won the GP1 Prix Du Cadran at Longchamp today.

That brings his GP 1 winners total so far this this year to 7.

The other 5 are Ruler Of The World, Intello, Magician, Linton, Romantica.

How many has he got in total now Trifix?

Must be a silly number for a stallion that is still relatively young

38 individual GP 1 winners, a few of them are Southern Hemisphere ones.

Has a bit to go yet to catch the old man...:)

Well one of them ran and won. Red Rocks Point the Fastnet Rock x My Emma colt won at Dundalk.

Probably the best bred of them and he's entered in Dewhurst next weekend.

Group 1 winner for Authorised today

The horse that won the pretty polly this year Ambivalent is also out of Authorised. Saying that it was a horrendous group 1. I think he could have had a winner or 2 in Australia to.

Had one other Aus one, but overall quite poor the highest RPR of them is 111 very poor for gr.1 winners

I said it at the time but that pretty polly was one of the worst group 1's ive ever seen.
Quite poor results alright at least todays winner is fairly unexposed and could have more to offer in black types next season.

Yeah but still think it was a terrible race. Dancing rain was a nice mare but that race should not be a gr1

    Group 1 winner for Mastercraftsman

Add to that a Group 3 winner at Leopardstown too

He's looking like a ready made replacement for his old man. Definitely worth giving him a few of those choice Coolmore Galileo mares to see if he push on to bluechip stallion status.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

Most Improved to Coolmore, can't say I'd be rushing to him but his top class looking Hurricane Run brother Ectot won a gr.1 today. Off the top of my head that St James' that he won is one of the worst in recent history

Big big increase for Iffraaj to 25 k. Dubawi now 100k sterling, Helmet at 8GBP, the wonderfully bred Imperial Monarch to Coolmore NH. Out of a half sister to Oscar he is one I'll look forward to

Masterstroke was very disappointing but he could throw up some smart ones at 3k, probably more of a NH type though but what a pedigree

New Approach 80 GBP is quite a lot. Very surprised Shamardal or Raven's Pass are the same as last year

Iffraaj was excpected but taught it would be the 20k, 25k still seems fare.

Any word on Dandy mans price for this season? Don't think he will still be available at 3/3.5k
