    On an unrelated note.
I've been doing a new workout program for the last 12 days, with another 78 to go.

I think it may kill me!

what kind of stuff ya doing?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,237 ✭✭✭Sonics2k

    the p90x program.

Have to say it's honestly fantastic, can already see the improvement in my build after the last few days.
Basically a full hour of hour non-stop weights, pull ups, push ups, stretching, kenpo and a bit of yoga as well.

Tough as hell but worth the effort so far. Now I have to resist the temptation to eat whats left of the almond and pear cake in the fridge :(

I used P90x to take alot of the best moves they use and use them in addition to a regular gym routine.

The Ab Ripper X 15min workout is insanely good.

Only problem with the whole thing is you have to put it on mute - the instructor wrecks your head!!

I didn't have a pull up bar when I was doing it and to be honest my flat is small - I got sick of working in confinement.

I took a look at all the videos and took out alot of the moves to incorporate into a gym routine.

That's just me though - I need to go to the gym for a workout, even for the social thing of getting out of the house, seeing new faces, having a swim/steam after to relax.

I'd highly recommend the ab & lower body exercises

From everything I've read, it has a great success rate for those who are able to stick to it.
It's honestly not a program for those are not already in good shape. It's more designed for people who are already fit, but want to tone up and bulk up some more.

I was in final year so inevitably the gym went on the wayside come March - only got a month out of it - back playing football for the past good while so when the season ends I'll be hitting the gym big time again and I'll let you know :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,237 ✭✭✭Sonics2k

With Ab Ripper X you'll see results in a week if you stick to it.

One thing I like about the videos, as annoying as his voice is, he encourages you to take breaks, not to do more than you can handle, but at the same time push yourself each day.

Best thing is you can just do it in your living room, and takes 20 minutes a day.
