Ladies can I get ur opinion on something.

Is a guy seeming too clingy if he sends 5 messages over the span of the week and get no reply . Like last Saturday we were talkin I got a text but didn't see it till 3mins later replied but got no response still havent. Like all the thoughts going through my head are just killing me. wondering are they dead or alive or what. Contemplating sending a 6th and final text before my heart shatters. but just want to get yer opinion after all I haven't a clue what goes on in my head let alone the female mind.

Firstly, females don't have different minds and thought processes to males, the human brain is the human brain regardless of sex. Generally if someone is interested in you they will make a decent effort to stay in contact with you. If she hasn't replied to any of your texts by now, she doesn't sound like she's worth your time or concern. I wouldn't necessarily call 5 texts over the space of a week clingy, but at the same time I wouldn't send any more if I was you. Of course it depends on the content of the texts too.

As an aside, I'mnot sure why you are concerned about taking 3 minutes to reply to a text. I can't think of any reason that would cause that to be an issue to anyone.

I know the human mind is all the one and same but have u read any of my past posts most of the replies begin with what? Leading me to ask myself wtf I'm on about. Lol.

Well what makes it worse is where in a relationship for 4months to just vanish and update her bookface without replying to me raises a hell of a load of questions. As for the 3min thing it doesn't mean much but a lot can happen or so I have noticed. The last text ended in, the time she was hoping to finish work. ugh so much confusion :(
    Thanks for ur reply

She could just be one of those scatterbrained people that really aren't good at replying to texts. On the other hand she could be like me - when I was too much of a coward to tell a guy to back off I'd just completely ignore all contact from him. Either way I'd stop texting her, if she was interested she's have gotten back to you.

    I love it. :D

Since Episode 1 of this series, my newsfeed has been polluted by people bitching about how crap it is... and they're still bitching right now. :P

Similarly, my Dad was going absolutely ape-sh*t at I'm A Celebrity last night, when what's-her-face wouldn't do the challenge. He was shouting the usual "Why the hell did she even go in there anyway?!", until I stopped him and was pointed out that he'd said the exact same thing for the past two series, and how it was strange that the exact same things happened over and over again in the show...

Still, each to their own I guess.

I came across a thread once on boards and i know you cant post pictures in AH. But strangely enough i think a large percentage would agree with this maybe we are onto something  :pac:
Ok on further notice the link doesnt like to play nice so here it is in Quoted form. A Quote within a quote... Inception:eek:

btw since when did the internet get a remake over on this icon 13kvsp

On further examination the whole post has just failed in a ball of firery doom in that feck all works. but if you click that weird corrupt image icon there it will bring you to the actual image im trying to demonstrate. Also i know there is no point for the quote but i just want to show how awkward it was to just link to the photo. if i could show how long i have been sitting here adding and removing the link and going round in circles while eating cookies i would. I dont know if you can guess but im really bored and nobody to talk to. 25 friends on fb chat all i dislike or i actually dont know who they are.

Apparently in December the world governments are getting together to discuss The Internet. Safely not bout you "The Internet" :pac:

The main idea behind this is they want to sensor and tax people to use the internet blah blah blah same old same old.

Basically Google being are friend has set up an online petition to say f*ck you the Internet should stay free and allow human life to have free access and all that jizz so here is the petition google.ie/takeaction After the Hit and miss which was ACTA and all those other ones that were out there i wouldnt chance my arm.

My Brothers of the internet. You may think im crazy and all this could be a load of bull. But when our lives are in danger i think we need to step back think about it and make a decision. I know for one i dont want to have to pay extra fees just to access half the internet. nor do i want to have half the internet taken away from me because the website have said no that they are not willing to pay for there site to be shown to millions of people.

All these petitions are fine in theory, but the only way to get any attention would be to just shut down for a day.

Remember when Wikipedia shut down for a day during the whole SOPA sh*te thing? They gained more support for the opposition to that Act than all the petitions and reasoned arguments in the world ever could.

If Google are serious about "maintaining an open and inclusive internet", then why don't they just say:

"Right lads, the day of this meeting in December we're shutting down everything. Google Search (in all its guises), YouTube, Blogger, GMail, the Play Store, Maps gone. We're locking access to all Google accounts and automatically logging everyone out (which will have an affect on everyone with an Android phone)."

Ditto Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft, yadda, yadda.

Why? Because that'd potentially hurt their business for a day. Whereas by putting up a petition they can act as if they give a toss about protecting the "sanctity of the internet", when really all they care about is the possibility that governments might charge them more money.

But maybe I'm just cynical and this petition will be the last we ever see about people trying to censor things.

They should shut down for a month, may as well go for the jugular.
    Or at least threaten it.

I would love if they shut down facebook for a day. The lolz would be had. It would genuinely be making life inconvenient for some people but still hilarious I reckon.

There is not a hope in hell google would do that.
I'd love to see them remove the google search page for a day though!

Disabling email would be catastrophic wouldn't it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,059 ✭✭✭Screaminmidget

Ya, A lot of businesses would have to shut down, and knock on effects to colleges, etc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,009 ✭✭✭✭wnolan1992

Oh I know it would never happen, but it'd be the biggest "F**k you!" possible to the people who keep trying to implement these censorship dealies.

Imagine the uproar if Google search was down for a day, with just a link to more information about this meeting thing on their homepage.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,625 ✭✭✭flyswatter

Well done to wikipedia when they closed down for a day. I think there was a workaround though, it worked on mobiles for example.

I'd actually donate to wikipedia cos they aren't in it for the cash or corporate greed. Classy website.

Wikipedia was a good one. I surprised myself by how much I've come to rely on it for (mostly) useless information these days. Thought it was supremely cool of the guys running it to shut down for a day. They definitely went up in my mind after that.

Google search going down for even a few hours would probably cause riots in the streets. :pac:

Turning google off for a day is basically a tactical nuke. There is nothing bigger the internet can do. If they do this, they can't do this again, or it will mean *nothing*. It is an absolute last resort. same with wikipedia, they can't do that again for *years* or they'll just diminish the effect.

I'd love to see the internet being censored. It would provide perfectly ridiculous "back in my day" anecdotes for my children.

"Oh, when I was a youngster you could watch a man stick a toaster-oven up his hind-parts until the cows came home. Ah, how things have changed!"
