Is an obvious troll in a different class to a troll?
Are Playstation Gamer populations under threat?
Should we have some sort of fundraiser for them?
If only I had known before I posted....

I would have slagged off those who post about Sega making a successor to the Dreamcast instead..... deluded fools! ;)

ps... doesn't the wink emoticon ;) denote that the previous comment should be taken with a pinch of salt?
Does the PSN remove this knowledge from the users brains via some sort of NLP or Hypnotism???

Not to a 'Playstation Gamer', it just ads insult to injury in that case. ;).

I have this wonderful immunity from the playstation crew because I can ban them from the only forum that matters to them.

Being a God is a delightful feeling!

I have to agree, I get the same feeling here..

I must get around to banning the Christmas Beers no-shows, just to show them I am a jealous and vengeful god too!

I'm exempt because I drew up a nice little template to illustrate the phenomenon :)

I can't believe Kim Jong il died around your birthday Pyongyang. My condolences.

Finally the mystery of the name is revealed!

Will save me having to ask him awkwardly!

Now what it has to do with gaming is another question,
maybe a console was made in North Korea or something?

What I found funny about last night's exchange was that a certain poster was - bless 'im - trying to uncover a conspiracy theory between yourself and retr0.

One quick search would have illustrated he was in your house on Friday night :pac:

He could have just applied Occams Razor. He was being a dick and got banned for it like anyone else would have if they acted the same way.

I assume the guys who are mods here are joking about having "the power" etc.

You guys are better than this, come on  ;);)

Nah, we save the real boasting for the secret treehouse.

It's called the 'No Steve SI Club'.

Do you still need to do that?

I thought softmod installer was all you needed these days.

Hmm, while "backing up" a certain something via a cue sheet I find that it is taking hours to burn.
I used imgburn and now nero with the same results.
Anyone any ideas what the fup is going on??

No, I can assure you I own everything already, this is purely because I don't want the original damaged in any way...

It's odd behaviour from my PC, I'm wondering if it's in cahoots with the CDr manufacturers because I've made 6 coasters so far!

Open up the cuesheet & see what the references are. What programme are you using to burn?

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 34,811 CMod ✭✭✭✭CiDeRmAn

Oh, I tried imgburn and it burned great for the first 21% then went all funky, recording at 0.1% speed, failed then after 20mins.
Then I tried Nero and got the same, only no fail as yet, some hours later.

Must be something with this type of burning, have tried 2 different Saturn titles and gettign the same results, as if it burns the data portion but gets all funky for the audio tracks.

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 54,089 CMod ✭✭✭✭Retr0gamer

Check to see if the .cue file refers back to the correct mp3 files and make sure they are .wav or mp3 and not something like .ogg.

What I found from copying copious saturn games is that some people don't have a clue how to write .cue sheets and 50% of the time they are wrong.

Well... Been on the official forums and I'm waiting to see if someone can provide me with a game save in Blackwell Legacy just after the bit that is bugged for me.

But I went ahead and played the second and third one anyway. Very good, second one was possibly a bit short though.

But it is great how the second one is set in the 70s and sets up a story line that is resolved in the third game which is set back in the modern era.

Just purchased the 4th game in the series now, which just came out in october.

I came across that Chrono Cross clock I bought ages ago. Or as my girlfriend likes to call it - 'the little clock that cost you €50' (I'll never be let forget that!)

Thought it had been lost in the move, but it turns out I'd stored it away with my PGM Mobo.

Put it out on a shelf in the bedroom. Thought it really looked the business. Was delighted.

A few hours later I went to bed.

    TICK...TOCK...TICK...TOCK...TICK...TOCK...TICK...TOCK...TICK...TOCK...TICK...TOCK...TICK...TOCK...TICK...TOCK

    AH!!!!!!!!

/Takes battery out and puts it back in the PGM box.

I remember why I put the thing away now. :(

Themed clocks - they seem like a good idea at the time.

Just starting to read this, a retrospective on Silent Hill 2. Bob Mackey has been working on it for ages and he's got jermey blaustein on board to talk about it who is always very open about the titles he's worked on.

Went to preorder a Retrode 2 on StoneageGamer and after shipping it comes to $99! I really want one, but that's €75. Which seems a bit much for what it is.

As a comparison, the Snes handheld is for preorder too and it's cheaper.

Bah, god damn it, I wish I didn't see that Snes handheld on the site. Want one too now.

After postage, the two of them come to €150.

Seems like a lot for a home made device which I'm only going to use to dump some games and a (fancy) clone.

But then at the same time, both do look like really great devices.

    I r conflicted.
