Smells good to me

Do you like any unusual smells? I know fresh cut grass isn't an unusual one but for me its even better when mixed with the smell of fresh sweat and deep heat coz that combination is the smell of football.

I also just realised this morning that I love the smell of timber being cut. My dad is putting a wooden floor down in my sitting room and the house smells wonderful.

I love garlic too, but I find it difficult to use. I'll use a fair bit in e.g. chilli, and can hardly taste it in the chilli... but then it comes out through my skin for the next week. I don't mind, but I suspect others might not be as keen ...

Another smell I love is fenugreek, known as methi in Indian cooking. I don't quite know how to describe it ...

Oh God yeah, I'd almost forgotten about that.... The Gillabbey Tavern in Cork always had that when you walked past, used to love just inhaling it when walking past. Although I'm all for the smoking ban, I miss that smell Now all you can smell is sweat and farts

The smell of a builders 'work van'. Just love the earthy smell of it. Probably stems from the fact that my Dad always worked on building sites when I was a kid, and I remember feeling so cool and 'proud' of him......

old man pub smell is the best smell. always get a whiff when passing one, reminds me of being young and in a pub with my parents (though I'm sure it didn't happen that much).

most of the ones in this thread aren't odd though! my oddest one is sweat love it. not a ground in dirty kinda sweaty smell from an old unwashed man, but a worked up kinda sweat smell. Gorgeous! *swoons*

That kind of muddy, grass and beer smell that only seems to happen at festivals, you know the one mingled with that 'tent' smell too - love it!

Smell of a hay barn, always reminds me of when I was small

Smell of briquettes - always reminds of the Bord na Mona ad from when I was younger - you know the one with the Marino waltz on it - gives me a real safe feeling (was my grandparents 'song' too)

The smell of winter - it's my favourite season and I swear it has a smell, something to do with the crispness in the air or something
