Do you all have private permissions ?
I didn't even get my Coillte permit yet

............... this farmer was sure it wasn't a calf and wasnt a sika.

I've never seen one in the flesh, but from all accounts they cannot be mistaken. From reports, pictures, etc they are more the size of a large fox. There was a few marked in the returns from 2009/2010 season, but i've only seen the one photo of a shot one.

I wonder if they are as numerous as people say?

In fairness, its amazing how many deer shaped stones and tree branches that you come across up there.

I'm sure its the same all over.

Up above Aughrim, in fairness i only saw it for about 5 seconds as it shot across infront of the jeep, but it has short little stumpy legs and seemed to be very squat to the ground
