Do different drinks have different effects on you?

Was reading a thread over in Personal Issues and it has me wondering

Do different drinks have different effects on you?

    Examples:
People who are crying and upset say it's the gin
People who get angry and violent says it was the whiskey

But then alcohol is still alcohol at the end of it so I don't realy accept these examples

Do your nights out end up differently depending on what you drink?
Yes, I know every product has a different strength but do you have a particular reaction to one?

    Whiskey = fightin'.

Stay the f*ck away! Although it's a nice "social" drink. Not one to get pished on.

I'm far more sociable with wine than with beer

and dance better with vodka (although maybe it's the red bull in it!)

Tequila makes me vomit, otherwise I can drink anything and its all just alcohol with differing tastes and price.

I find I can drink a lot of Gin and still be in a half decent state after it.
Guinness is the same, I can drink a good bit.

    Whiskey gets me messy.

I'll never go near a Jagerbomb again, the first one I had made me fall asleep and then puke in a Taxi. (Although I did have a heap of beer before it)

Red Bull give me wings....and heart palpitations!

What's the reason for being reasonable?

    Is that an unreasonable question?

    Yes.
I don't care who tells me it isn't possible and it's just the level of alcohol.

Different types make me act different.

First time I had a jaegerbomb with that energy drink monster instead of red bull I was literally bouncing off walls running from one end of the bar to the other. Bleedin' hyper! Annoyingly so.

from what I've seen of the factories that produce bouze, it comes in in 1 big artic tanker, gets piped in twenty different directions to smaller tanks- those individual tanks get a few colours/flavourings added, diluted etc and then it gets bottled, labelled and shipped-all much the same stuff, beer and wine excepted. I'm not an alcoholic, I'm a wino.

The best nights always involve some form of gin.

Beer makes me sloppy. I'll just want to laugh and sleep.
Vodka makes me think I'm sober - the more I drink the more convinced I am sober, therefore need to remedy it.
Cider makes me very very feisty. I'm libable to riot drunk on that. Stubborn and angry.

Vodka makes me a messy, angry drunk who wants to pick a fight. Haven't touched it in about ten years.

Wine can also make me messy & very upset but in my defence it usually takes around three bottles of the stuff to do that & I'm just not able to drink that quantity anymore.

Shots of any description make me puke.

I find any drink with alcohol in it just seems to turn me into the most a-ma-zing dancer :|

Well that's more or less a given.
I turn from Mr Bean into Chris Brown with a few drinks.

My missus on white wine is a barrel of laughs and on red is a total cnut. Has to be something to it.
