    Hello again.
I've had a few logs now and the last one was going well until I backed about a thousand consecutive losers.
Taken a break and have been picking out a few winners of late so I'll see if that run can continue.

    First bet.

    Hoopy 4.10 Galway 20/1
Won this race last year off a three pound higher mark. I've been following the horse since and it has absolutely no form to itself, but has come down in the weights and it has hardly been given a hard time in any races since if you catch my drift. It has a win in it soon I think and I think it could well have been targeted at this race. Sam Twiston Davies takes off a valuable three pounds in the competitive race.

Best of luck, I like your logic with today's pick, CD winner, down in the weights etc :) Them types win often enough to make watching out for them worthwhile.

    Meeznah 3.45 Goodwood 9/1
High class filly but just has one maiden win to her name but was second behind Snow Fairy in last year's Oaks. Has no problem with today's trip and was second behind today's favourite last time out. She's the one to beat but has stamina to prove and too short to dive in on,mine could go well to run into a place.

    Royal Blush 4.20 Goodwood 16/1

Had four subsequent winners in behind her when second at Newmarket over five furlongs on her debut before landing the odds cosily enough next time out when upped to six furlongs at headquarters. Upped to seven furlongs here and is totally unexposed and has a promising 3 pound claimer aboard and comes in carrying just 8-1 off a mark of 74 which doesn't seem too severe. Seems a nice price for an each way bet.

    Rimth 4.50 Goodwood 14/1
Smart filly who won first time out as a juveneile in a five furlong maiden before holding her own in group class, including when second in the Cheveley Park last back end. Showed good form thus far this year including when winning the Fred Darling on her come back before being given too much to do in the French Guineas. Comes here off a break and step back to 7 furlongs in her favour. Could go well.

    I'm not a country folk.

Went up on Monday. Backed Fosters Cross made a nice few quid off him :D
    You head no?

    Al Muheer 8.15 Musselburgh 13/2

I'm standing by this horse and it's bound to win any run now. Has plummeted down in the weights from being 106 at one stage and is running from a mark of 74 today. Was somehow put up three pounds from this mark the time before last when finishing a close up fifth in a Wolverhampton handicap before running a credible 12th in a big handicap at Ascot last time out off a mark of 77 yet was three pounds out of the weights, beaten only over 5 lengths.I'm sure he has a win in him soon and I'd kick myself if I missed it.

    Stake:40 euro

    No joy so far.
Rimth is beaten a head for a place at 18/1 bulling.

    Sentry Duty 2.35 Goodwood 20/1
9 year old high class hurdler for Nicky Henderson who was third in this race last year off the same mark. Has had two runs on the flat this year, neither of which were awe inspiring, where he was tailed off in the Chester Cup but is surely better than that, before a respectable run in a listed race last time out at the start of the month.
However, goes well at the track and is unexposed over this trip, having placed and won over 14 furlongs on his only two tries. Needs to step up on recent form but the booking of Fallon is certainly a positive.

Quasi Congaree 40/1 5 places Boyles
Probably the hardest race of the day but looks overpriced here in an ultra competitive handicap. Comes in at the foot of the weights carrying just 8-7 and this will be the hardest race he's ran in but has been in good form of late. He has the same mark of 75 as last time out where he was beaten a short head in a Newmarket handicap and was a close up forth at Kempton before that. The handicapper had been generous in dropping him from 79 before that. Has a course and distance win to his name off a mark of 70. A long shot but should outrun his odds.

Tempted to back Magnetic Force in the 5 o'clock at Galway.

Thanks James hadn't thought of that. Don't know if I fancy it too much anymore but I'll see how my others do.

    Look Left 4.25 Doncaster 3/1

Said I'd back this fella in the hope of a return as the other ones I've backed are unlikely to yield any winners. First time out for this colt by Observatory out of a Nashwan mare, unsurprisingly well bred for a Juddmonte runner. A couple of withdrawals have made this maiden seem very oridnary and can't have the favourite at its current price at all. Market vibes are positive and Gosden's horses always have to be respected in these races.

    Did you hit the town

Edit:No luck with the first.Hardly surprising.

The town hit me. Went to the Stone Roses Experience. Deadly gig, their last ever show. Slept on the couch, haven't moved yet, probably won't.

That was disappointing, thunderball never in it. Quasi ran well from what i can make out

    Hen Night 3.45 Cork 14/1

Tough and genuine filly with only three wins to her name but probably deserves more. She always gives a good account of herself, with her last win coming in this race last year. Has been contesting some group 1 races and showing herself well, including when a four lengths forth to Lille Langtry in the Matron Stakes last back end.Has been slightly disappointing this year in two runs, but hasn't necessarily ran a stinker but she'll need to step up on her last run, when she finished 4 lengths behind Barack who she faces again tomorrow. She seems more genuine than him and could go well in the race which is full of mostly exposed fillies.

    Sparkling Tara 2.50 Galway 7/1

Caught my eye last night when looking through the cards. Won on its handicap debut at Limerick over two and a half miles off a six pound lower mark at the start of July, before being a beaten favourite earlier on in the week when finishing fifth, beaten around 13 lengths. However, what caught my eye is that the trainer seems to target this race. Won it for two years in a row before having a second placed horse last year. There was money for it the last day and it could well be that this race was the plan for the horse aswell.

Shake The Bucket 3/1 5.50 Naas

A winning pointer who showed good form on his hurdling debut in a novice event at Bellewstown last time out, beaten a length by a horse who ran well in a better race at Galway.
Step up in trip in his favour and should go well.
